Now I'm not saying that an Orpheus who looks back is weak but with the way I see love I can't wrap my head around that an Orpheus who doesn't look back is an Orpheus who never went back in the first place.

As a person who is deeply a hopeless romantic and my life goal is to be married to the love of my life if I can't persevere through excitement to be with my love again then maybe I never deserved to go down to hell in the first place. I understand that for Orpheus it's a hard task because of his nature but to say for other that they don't truly love their lover because they wouldn't turn around is preposterous to me. If I truly love this person I should be strong enough to withstand not looking at them for a long journey to get our happy ending.

Whether Hades is trustworthy is out of my control what matters is whether I love this person enough to do the hardest task: patience. I can't say for others but for me this doesn't come from a place of pride or arrogance, I don't believe I would accept just to prove that I could do it but to be with my love again. I've always felt alone in this opinion and while I agree that Orpheus and Eurydice is meant to be a tragedy no matter what I truly believe it is not wrong to say you wouldn't turn around.
