Scary surgery. I've had this #wip in my #wipbasket since April! I've clearly been neglecting it. When I was doing a market I took 2 shawls with me to work on during downtime. The patterns are *almost* identical- increasing from the center by pattern A: yo's, pattern B: m1l,m1r. This beautiful purple shawl is pattern B, but I mistakenly added some yo's. I had to frog a few rows 😖 and because I was not careful in the ripping I've lost a few stitches and rows. Now to remake them all by hand with this mini crochet hook. The things we do for love. This is the beginning of the Finger Lakes Fiber Collective, or FLXFCo!!!! It's an all things fiber group that will meet on the first Sunday of every month where we can show projects, share ideas, inspire each other, and get the local fiber community together. Recently I've been stressing over the lack of time I feel I have to focus on starting a small business while balancing my day job, relationship, and my personal well being. When I'm stressed I tend to reorganize everything (thanks Mom!) so I decided to give my studio a makeover. I wanted to be in a space that felt more business driven, motivating, and calm. I installed some new shelving from extra boards from old track shelving and separated them with old paint cans and cement blocks. Now I have more space, and I can see my yarn stash with one swivel.
