people who are photogenic really don’t understand what kind of privilege they have like,,,,,they could literally be scratching their ass and wearing an oversized t-shirt w a mustard stain on it and it still looks like a candid piece of art,,,,meanwhile im dressed to the nines in my best outfit with my hair and makeup done and as soon as someone puts anything close to a camera in front of my face it’s like,,, one of my eye half closes while the other completely dilates. my mouth half opens between a smile and frown (a smown). my head rotates to an unnatural angle that my body doesn’t follow ,,, i lose complete control of my hand and make a peace sign,,,,,,Cursed

i love how half of millenial humor is just thinly veiled cries for help and the other half is dadaist absurdism

I hate glamorizing over-working. It’s not healthy. The fact that there are so many people going without sleep, food, personal hygiene (not to mention time for relaxation, personal time, and socialization, which are very necessary for mental health) just to stay afloat is not something to be celebrated or applauded. It’s a problem, not a goal that all good employees should aspire to, or a norm everyone should be expected to perform.

Guilty of over-working. And having awful mental health because of it. 

I got my heart broken and I survived, I failed 3 courses in university and graduated, I got rejected in the very first job I applied for and got promoted yesterday, I went through hard times with my family but then two years later, we laughed our hearts out over lunch, The closest friends disappointed me several times but I made new friends and loved them with all my heart. I did it once, I can do it again.

I NEEDED THIS SO BADLY

A woman is always a body first. First her body, in any context, is reviewed, judged, leered at, undressed, commented on, touched, etc. before the same person has even considered the light, soul, and power force within her. She is, first, an object. Women are always corporeal before they are anything else. When you do this meeting or walking past or talking to a woman, correct yourself, and then teach your son to do the same.

Fat people are most likely to suffer weight-based abuse from family members and doctors. Not co-workers, or kids at school, or comedians, or internet trolls. Family members and doctors. Let that sink in for a bit.

be careful who you call ugly in middle school because they’ll probably always be insecure about themselves because those are very formative years in child development
