Shotaro was more nervous than usual for his first statistics test of the year. He had a good enough grasp on the material, but there were a few things he was shaky on. He did spend a lot of time studying, but he just didn’t understand certain concepts. He knew that he had to focus today though because he couldn’t let his grades suffer. If he did, he would never hear the end of it from his dad.

You, on the other hand, were filled with confidence. You refused to let anything get in the way of passing. Studying was your entire life for a week before the quiz. You didn’t talk to anyone for the first few days, which resulted in several angry voicemails from Karina because she hadn’t heard from you. You apologized for ignoring her and made sure to talk to people while still studying as much as you could. Your degree was far too important to you to fail.

As you were making your way to class, you saw Wonbin. He smiled and winked at you, and you gave him a small smile in response. He continued walking as you silently prayed that you wouldn’t fail.

You walked into class and smiled as you saw Shotaro. He was wearing his bright purple beanie, which you had learned meant that he had overslept and hadn’t had time to brush his hair. Initially he looked upset, but as soon as he noticed you his expression changed to that signature smile that made you feel all giddy inside. You took your seat next to him and started to discuss the upcoming quiz.

“How do you think you’re gonna do?” he asked.

“I know I’m gonna pass,” you replied, “I was up until 3 AM studying last night.”

“I wish I had your confidence, (Y/N).”

“I’m sure you’ll do great, ‘Taro. You’re smarter than you give yourself credit for. Plus, I know how much you’ve been studying.”

“Thanks, (Y/N),” he mumbled, with a barely noticeable blush starting to appear on his face.

Your conversation was cut short by Ms. Kim passing out your tests. You once again silently prayed to whoever would listen that you would pass and began to work as soon as you received your test. As you answered the questions, you couldn’t help but wonder how Shotaro was doing. He had looked upset when you walked into class, but you hadn’t been able to ask him why before the test started. You made a mental note to ask him about it after class.

The second the test was placed on his desk, Shotaro started answering questions to the best of his ability. He wasn’t confident in all his answers, but that didn’t stop him from giving everything he had. Once he finished answering the questions and handed in his exam, he spent the rest of the class period doodling in his notebook. The drawings of animals and flowers may have looked like something silly to pass the time to someone that saw them in passing, but for Shotaro art was his escape. And with stress from school and his dad’s daily lectures about not wasting his potential, he needed it.

After everyone finished their tests, class was dismissed. You tried to follow Shotaro to ask him why he seemed upset earlier, but he ran out the door before you could catch up to him. So, you sent him a text instead, letting him know that if he needed to talk about anything you were there for him.

The rest of your morning classes were a blur, with papers being assigned and more tests being taken. You had been rushing to get things done all morning, so you decided to go to the library to take a break in a quiet environment before you had to continue your studies.

The last person you expected to see as you entered was Wonbin. You knew that it was rude to assume from the limited interactions you had with him, but he didn’t really seem like the type to spend free time at the library.

“Hey, Wonbin. How are you?”

“I’m doing ok, I just wanted a quiet place to study. What’s up with you?”

“I wanted to take a breath before my next class, tests all morning.”

“Yikes. By the way, next time you see Karina would you give this back to her? She left it at my place last night,” he said as he handed you her makeup bag.

“Will do, thanks.”

The two of you chatted for a few more minutes before you left to continue your day.

The next day at the end of class, Ms. Kim gave everyone their tests back. You looked at yours, and you saw that your score was 93. Excited that you passed, you showed Shotaro. He seemed a little bit less excited, however, as he wordlessly showed his paper. It had 86 written at the top in bright red ink. Even though he was a little upset, he jokingly promised to kick your ass when it was time for the next test. You laughed and said you wished that he would.

“Well I guess I have to, now,” he said with a wink.

Scorpio Sun: The stereotype that scorpios suns are secretive is so played out they're just technically shy imo im sorry LMFAOOO. Once a scorpio fully trusts you or has something they genuinely want to tell you they just keep GOING. And the same probably applies to him especially since his Mercury is in Sag. In the beginning he might seem hard to crack or not one to spare many details but once he's sure of you and you two are officially together and solidified oh he's a plain open book. Ofc he's not gonna pour every aspect of his heart out but being secretive really won't be an issue. He has an aspect of sun and uranus so he won't really act in ways that aren't true to him, his freedom, or expression so he'd practice authenticity even within the relationship so you better be in it for the real him !!

Libra Moon: Similar to Wonbin he'd be pretty considerate and would weigh pros and cons before doing anything to ensure fairness. His chart makes up of placements centered around truth, fairness and morals so ngl being equal+in balance is something he'd want for the relationship. Sometimes there's a tendency for Libra moons to end up complacent or non argumentative to keep the peace but I think it wouldn't be as severe considering his sag placements. Rather than being complacent he'd be pretty passive, he'd be willing to engage in trivial debates and significant convos but wouldn't break his neck to prove his point or show that he's right unless it was absolutely necessary. His moon is sextile his venus so emotional balance is crucial so he'd avoid constant disturbances in the relationship so you two remain in harmony; downside he might become TOO passive and too invested in harmony to where needed conflicts are dismissed or he doesn't express himself fully.

Sagittarius Mercury: So...blunt LMFAOO. Honestly Sohee probably says crazy stuff or is more sassy behind closed doors he has sm mercury aspects even some with pluto and mars. He might be conflicted sometimes, has moments of being super blunt and even saying stuff without thinking and then his libra moon brings him back into peaceful mode and he's like "uuuhm my bad". Probably likes fake arguing or small debates. Makes fun of you most definitely but compared to Eunseok it'd be easy for him to apologize if he realized it was too far or hurt you. Instead of yelling he might talk pretty fast and "word vomit" whenever he's dealing with big emotions or anger (especially with his mercury square mars) and due to this he might go quiet during arguments (if they ever even happen) because he knows when dealing with his outbursts he could say the wrong thing or be hurtful when not meaning to. Likes to be playful and even a bit nonserious and childish in convos and tries to make things lighthearted.

Sagittarius Venus: Sigh omg a bestfriend and boyfriend in one quite LITERALLY. Sag Venus has a hard time settling down because they value their freedom and life path so much and they don't really get into -serious- relationships unless they're genuinely enamored with you and can see you fitting into their expanding life. So once he's with you and realizes he's actually in love with you and it's beyond just flirting and pining he's essentially all in. Freedom will be evident in the relationship and there may not be a super specific power dynamic laid out outside of the cheesy "look at how my gf takes care of me.”. He wouldn't abandon his career for the relationship but wouldn't completely abandon the relationship as a whole either but just know there'd be an attempt to split both. He'd be loving and wouldn't be too restricting, flirts via jokes quite literally he would end up being the funniest man you know especially with that sag mercury on top. He values optimism and change and would implement that into the relationship as well.

Older

Seunghan

a lot of people think Seunghan would have a younger s.o but ngl..he'd probably like someone more older or at least a person that has more experience/more mature. I say this because the things he'd want the most I feel like he'd expect or more easily get from someone older. He wants someone that would be independent + confident in their place in the relationship, has experience in life in general (including partying/vices), and ngl he might want more tasteful luxury gifts so lowkey sugarmama/older gf vibes 😭.

Anton

I don't think he cares about age at all bc his chart doesn't indicate physical attributes minus the stereotypical feminine things (bouncy healthy hair, sweet perfumes, pretty nails) but I feel like he'd be best suited with someone older yk..like that would be best for him. Reason being, personality wise he wants someone mature, ambitious, independent, doesn't need to be babied/taken care of 24/7, can guide him, financial stable which is something you expect from a more mature/older person right ?

Middle Ground

Sungchan

50/50 bc I feel like he can get what he wants from either age group. He has a cancer moon + leo venus so he may like reciprocity and for him and his s.o nurture or be attentive with each other OR he's ok with taking care of a younger/immature s.o & would be fine with being taken care of by a older/mature s.o. He likes someone to be educated, lowkey a little wiser and put together BUT he likes to wear the pants and be the lead/doting counterpart of the relationship. I just think he can get what he likes from either group and he probs is into cap risings.

Eunseok

Eunseok..probably just doesn't care LMFAO. As long as you're tall, hot, confident and charming he's all in. IM KIDDING OFC . but he can adapt to either relationship trope. He likes someone with a mature seductiveness thats independent and gives good concrete wise advice..BUT he also likes someone thats goofy and surprises him and has a teasing "hard to get" aura to them. So imo he'd go after either one as long as they were compatible with him.

Sohee is typically the one being doted on and seen as the "cute" one and I just think he'd want to explore outside of that trope through his partner (sag venus tings). Plus I'm ngl Sohee's big 6 placements and his sun/uranus + mercury/mars aspects makes me feel like he'd feel kinda slowed down or restricted with an older/overly mature/serious partner. This is about to be contradictory ik but I feel like it’d be easier if said older partner had a more immature “cute” image

Wonbin

Wonbin probably likes...cliche dynamincs ngl..his taurus mars makes him feel more driven to the traditional/stereotypical dynamics yk so he's the masc and provides like the typical "oppa" type shit ykwim. Plus his Pisces Venus probably makes him idealize that type of stereotypical trope more. I also feel like an older partner would make him feel a more serious sense of responsibility and scare the shit out of him 😭😭.

Shotaro

It was the first day of a new year, and you were filled with excitement. A new year meant you were one step closer to your degree. It meant you were one step closer to meeting your goals. It meant that you were making something of yourself just like you promised your parents you would.

As you walked into your statistics class, you made one more promise to yourself that you would be the best student you could be. It was a promise you made every year, but it never lost its weight. Every year you did everything to the absolute best of your ability. If your grades were anything to go by, it always paid off. You were certain this year would be no different.

As your professor, Ms. Kim, finished taking attendance, someone that looked like he had just rolled out of bed ran through the door.

“You’re late, Mr.- “

“Osaki. Shotaro Osaki.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Osaki. Now, please take a seat. And don’t make a habit of being late. It could cost you in this class.”

“I understand, and I apologize. It won’t happen again.”

He took a seat next to you, and you noticed that he was wearing a bright purple beanie that made his soft brown eyes and messy blonde hair pop. He asked you for your name.

“Uh, (Y/N). (Y/N) (L/N).”

“Shotaro Osaki,” he replied as he reached his hand out for you to shake. You took it and smiled. He smiled back, and you caught yourself smiling just a little bit bigger as a result. You turned to face your instructor and silently hoped the two of you would be friends.

The period began with a pre-test to determine what the class already knew. While some of your knowledge was a little bit shaky, you still remembered a lot of what you’d learned last year. Once you handed your test in, you noticed that Shotaro had already finished his.

After what felt like forever, Ms. Kim made an announcement. “All of you showed that you know a lot about the topics that we’ll be expanding on this year. I have no doubt that all of you will do well in my class.”

She handed back the pre-tests, and you and Shotaro compared scores. As you overheard other students discussing their scores, the two of you realized you had tied for the highest grades in the class. You smiled at him as you realized that despite seeming a bit scattered, he was clearly very intelligent. It also didn’t hurt that he was kind of cute.

Once your morning classes were done, you made your way to the cafeteria. You immediately spotted your best friend, Karina, and made your way toward where she sat. As the two of you ate, you discussed how your classes were going so far. Mostly, she talked about a cute guy in her music theory class. Seconds later, as if by magic, a guy with long, admittedly beautiful hair walked up behind her.

“Are you talking about me behind my back, beautiful?”

“Only good things,” Karina replied with a laugh. “Wonbin, this is (Y/N). (Y/N), this is Wonbin.”

“It’s nice to meet you,” Wonbin said. “I should have known that Karina’s best friend would be just as gorgeous as she is.”

“It’s nice to meet you too,” you replied with a small smile.

Karina invited Wonbin to sit with you, which you had no problem with. What you didn’t expect was for Shotaro to show up a few minutes later. This time, however, the purple beanie was gone, and his hair was much less messy. You had to admit that he looked good. He smiled when he saw you, and once again you felt the blush creep up your cheeks.

Wonbin took the liberty of continuing the conversation with another introduction.

“’Taro, this is Karina and her friend (Y/N). Girls, this is my best friend Shotaro.”

“(Y/N) and I have met, but it’s great to meet you, Karina.”

Karina smiled and said hello, and you gave a small wave. Shotaro took a seat next to Wonbin, and the four of you chatted until you needed to leave for your next class. As you walked away from the table, you turned back to look at Shotaro again. He waved and smiled, and you hoped again that you could get closer to him as the year went on.

Shotaro walked to his next class with Wonbin and asked him what he thought about you and Karina.”

“Well (Y/N) seems a little bit shy, but that could just be because we just met."

“Wait, did you already know Karina?"

“We met this morning in music theory. She’s incredibly passionate about music, and it shows whenever Mr. Choi picks her to answer a question.”

“You like her, don’t you?”

“I don’t know if I would say that yet, but I would really like to get to know her better. What about (Y/N)? How do the two of you know each other?”

“We’re in the same statistics class. We sat next to each other, and it was obvious immediately that she knew what she was doing. She’s absolutely stunning too.

“Just admit that you like her, dude.”

Shotaro responded by punching Wonbin in the arm and leaving for his next class. He knew it was too soon to say for sure if he liked you, but he also knew that you were beautiful and that he really wanted to be closer to you. Suddenly, he was very happy that he took his dad’s advice and chose to major in economics.
