The vampire and daywalker lore is DUMB and makes no sense so here are my hc’s that r cannon in my mind
- the daywalkers can’t go out in the night, their bodies do not respond well to the cold environment and they quickly become sick and eventually die. This is because they need to keep a high body heat to survive, the only night they can survive in is that of the orchard and camp/whatever areas they may introduce along those lines. Much like vampires and the sun, but that’s known
- again, for the daywalkers, they are sort of just regular people with Tony stark esc tech in the movies, so in my hc they can already wield fire, their amulets/the moonstones help them both get their powers under control and make them stronger. Same goes for vampires and wind
- along with that, like the wolves, both daywalkers and vampires get their power from their moonstones, and need to wear it to stay healthy and survive
- daywalkers, like the vampires, can only survive on blood fruit. We see them eat other food, but to me it’s all bloodfruit based, and although they can digest other foods, bloodfruit is the only food that gives them any sustenance 
- there is actually very little biological difference between the daywalkers and vampires, aside needing to live in opposing conditions (outside the orchard areas). If they where to have children together it would be much like normal parents, the kid would get either more daywalker genes or vampires and this would determine which environment they could survive in, but most families would live in and around the orchard anyway to be able to live day to day together
- the daywalkers have fangs like the vampires, as they are required to eat bloodfruit and get the most sustenance
