🌌 “Scribbles From Another Universe”

there is literally no better feeling than reading a 'found family' trope. i don't need a massive friend group in real life when i can just comfortably sit in my room and watch these broken characters adopt each other.

adds 20 new highly recommended shows to my watchlist anyway, time to rewatch my favorite comfort series for the 50th time where i already know every single line of dialogue.

my real life is falling apart but instead of fixing it i am deeply invested in the trauma of two fictional idiots who can't communicate their feelings. it's called self-care.

do i have a diverse music taste? no. i listen to the exact same playlist every single day to fuel the cinematic fake scenarios in my head where my ship finally gets the endgame they deserve.

“why are you crying over a laptop screen?” because my favorite character just went through hell and the author tagged it 'hurt no comfort'. leave me alone to mourn.

me struggling to read a 5-page article for class vs. me devouring a 150,000-word alternate universe fanfic in a single weekend without eating or sleeping. the math ain't mathing.

i don't need therapy, i just need to read "who did this to you?" in an enemies to lovers fic and suddenly all my mental illnesses are instantly cured.

"why are you still single?" because my standards were permanently ruined by a fictional man written by a 20-something-year-old on ao3. i literally cannot settle for real life at this point.

"you’re always home, don’t you get FOMO?" ok well do you get the urge to stay up until 4am reading a 200k word slow burn fanfic where they don't even hold hands until chapter 45? didn't think so.

“What's so special about this ship?” nothing. except they have consumed my thoughts, ruined my sleep schedule, and permanently altered my brain chemistry.

“You need to stop rereading the same stories.” and you need to stop acting like masterpieces only deserve one visit.

“Get a hobby.” I do have a hobby. it's called becoming emotionally attached to people who don't exist.

“How many times have you read that fanfic?” enough to know every plot twist and still get devastated every single time.

“Just read something else.” no. these are my emotional support fictional idiots.

“They're just fictional characters.” then explain why they have caused more emotional damage than real people ever could.

“You spend too much time online” and yet somehow not enough time to recover from that one fanfic I read three years ago.
