Another podcast from Jack and it seems my fears were correct. Those poor birds…and poor Jack, still trying to deal with his own grief and sorrow from Lucy turning him down that he doesn’t know how to cope with. And yet, he can’t blame her or Arthur, which shows just how much he actually cares for them. Still, I don’t think this bodes well for Renfield and Jack’s future. What else could they possibly do?
Jack sent me another podcast today and it seems Renfield wants a cat now! That’s quite possibly the most normal pet he’s asked for so far, but how would he even be able to raise it? Never mind the fact that Jack said no…I have a bad feeling about this.
I received a letter from the Captain of the Demeter today! Seems his journey to Whitby is going well, though…crew members are disappearing? And they say “something” is aboard? That can’t be good…hopefully they all make it safely, since they found nothing while searching the ship, besides those boxes in the cargo of course.

Another podcast episode today from Jack and it seems Renfield has acquired a sparrow. It seems well fed, which is good! But I hope nothing bad happens to it…
A little late again thanks to work, but I finally caught up on Jack’s podcast. Ugh, Renfield’s pets give me the chills, I am definitely not someone who likes bugs, at all. But talking about how the flies and spiders are life…creepy. I hope Jack isn’t getting too many mad ideas, we’ve already got the Count off to who knows where after all. We don’t need a mad scientist too.
But now I can do nothing but worry. Is my dear friend Jonathan Harker safe?
Oh Jonathan…I’m not sure if I should call him brave, foolhardy or simply at the end of his rope. Perhaps all three. He actually managed to hurt the Count, with a SHOVEL, and though the Count left him behind, he’s trying to escape himself now. Will he actually make it home? I hope dearly that this isn’t his last letter…oh my dear friend Jonathan, you must simply survive!

Jonathan’s letter today was especially harrowing. Those wolves do not sound nice and the promise of Jonathan being the vampire ladies’ tomorrow? Oh this does not bode well at all for him. What letter awaits me tomorrow? Hopefully he can find some way to survive the night.
And now for the letter I received yesterday! Jonathan’s still going through it and now he’s even climbing the walls lizard style like the Count in order to reach his room! There’s actually a lot in here, but not a lot that can explain the Count’s plans…plus the Count himself?! Oh that was creepy for sure! Thank goodness Jonathan made it back to his room safely!

Ah I forgot to post about my letter from Jonathan the other day, whoops! Well, he’s clearly not having a fun time, especially since it seems like the Count is impersonating him in the nearby town. And that poor mother! Oh Jonathan, I hope you’re okay! I need to catch up on your letter from yesterday!
And another podcast from Jack too! This one is shorter but it seems Renfield is…feeding his flies to spiders. Oh god, that sounds disgusting, I’m glad this one is short, I can’t, I hate bugs.
Time to catch up on my mail again! It feels like it’s been forever since Jonathan’s written and things aren’t looking any better for him. First he’s locked in his room so he can’t go see the visitors to the castle and then after that, they don’t even bother to help him! But those boxes…why would the Count need them? Ooh, I’ve received a short telegram letter today! And from Arthur! It seems he does plan to meet up with Quincey and Jack and he has some news? I hope they have a fun time, they really seem like such good friends!
