thank you! the process is a bit uhhh not complicated, but definitely a little annoying. this is just how i figured it out, if anyone else has a better (easier) way, please let me know!

we’ll start with our text, in the font, size, and placement you wish it to be. the color doesn’t matter since we’ll only be using the shape. i use photoshop cs5, and it looks like this:

now, in adjustments, i create a gradient map with the colors i want the final text to be. it must have a mask, and your gif will look like this:

going back to the text layer, use the magic wand to select the outside. on the gradient map layer, delete the selected area from the mask, like this (+ my magic wand settings):

the same way, delete the empty spaces inside the letters, the Es and the O in this case, always going back to the text layer, using the magic wand and deleting from the gradient map’s mask, so it looks like this:

to finish it up, either delete or hide the text layer, leaving only the gradient map and you’re finished! the end result is this:

to show sadness (grief, sorrow):

- sharply sucking in a breath

- hiccuping from crying so hard

- uncontrollable sobbing

- slumped shoulders, head down

- weather can be used to show emotions — not just rain, but a shining sun and birds chirping contrasts well with a grieving character

- depending on the person, sadness can result in lashing out at others for no reason or shutting everyone out

to show anger (rage, frustration)

- red face, fists clenched

- narrow eyes

- sharp comebacks, gritting teeth

- the air around them is tense

- others may be silent, ignoring whoever they’re angry at

- inhales

- angry. tears.

- kicking, punching, slapping

to show shock (hurt, confusion)

- wide, confused eyes

- freezing in place

- collapsing to their knees

- silent and blank-faced

- ignoring everything else happening around them

to show happiness (joy, delight)

- bright eyes

- crinkles around their eyes from smiling so much

- laughter!

- optimism

- playful, laid back nature

- the weight being lifted off their shoulders

- relaxed sigh

legends: a characters theme by joe-keery

this is probably one of the most worked on themes i have made. though the concept got easier as i did it it still was a hassle to figure out at the moment there is only one color version but if you want to try to change htem yourself go for it, just know that if oyu break the coding i will not be able to fix it for you. eventually i will do another light version of thise code but until then this will have to do! this is a modal pop up character sheet, you click the icon and it will take you to a pop up window that has the characters bio in the top left corner of the bio there is an x that will close the box when you click it. IMPORTANT: there is one character at the moment on the coding, to add another use the coding here be sure to change where it says CHAR NAME to your characters first name. if you do not the modal will not pop up to the correct character. to add a new icon (the one you click) use the coding here as stated above be sure to change where it says CHAR NAME to your characters first name, please be sure that both those CHAR NAMES match other wise the modal will not work! (this is an IMPORTANT step) if you do things alphabetically make sure you list the coding in that same order other wise the links will not be clickable.
