I think getting defensive and hostile over someone adding a small credit link back to an artist on something you reposted might be silly actually. I also think we should maybe practise not taking things that don’t belong to us, even though I thought we learned that rule as kids but apparently not. It doesn’t matter if you found it online, it isn’t yours and you didn’t get permission first, and someone put way more effort into making the art than you would put into checking for a watermark or doing a reverse image search. If you don’t like being told that, don’t do it! I hope people continue to credit stolen posts when they see them because artists deserve it. 👍
