The Milky Atlantic.

Shot on the Coquina beaches in Florida, these are a few verticals that I managed to shoot at sunset.  When I first was introduced to these landscapes, I knew they had something I wanted, definite potential, but it took me several sessions dealing with them to really figure out what direction I wanted to go with.  Eventually I found the most ideal time to shoot them being during blue hour, and utilizing my ultra wide angle lens, and long exposure times ranging between 30 seconds and 2 minutes.  It’s hard to tell here, but the second shot was taken when it was almost dark, thus creating this foggy, ghosted effect.  Both are combinations of two exposures, one rather long for the foreground, and then one near proper exposure for the sky.
