We should have listened, Agnes
Crowley entertaining himself with the simplest things

Gotta tell you guys something wild in the Chinese fan sphere
So some fanartist drew a “sexy” (read: booby) version of a (cartoon) character who is traditionally very non-sexualised. Fans of the character got mad about it because it’s kind of groundbreaking how that character is written and portrayed and this art totally ignores the entire point of the character. They demanded the art be deleted. In response to that other people said, well what the fanartist did may be distateful but they have every right to draw what they’re into. The two sides fight for days and each starts a harassment campaign and even report their “opponents’” accounts.
So far so typical. But things eventually come to a head and they decide that this will be settled by votes - not through a poll. Through donations to a children’s education charity via each side’s portal. Whoever can get the highest amount of donation wins.
And that is how this charity received over 1 million in donations in three days lol. Oh btw the “freedom of expression” side won by a landslide (960k to 40k)
From now on this is how all petty fandom disputes should be settled.
At the end of the day, I’m very grateful for a few things regarding GO3.
1. It was quite short. Imagine if we had six whole episodes leading up to that disaster of an ending.
2. Everyone was so excessively out of character that it feels much simpler to just not accept it as canon.
3. Similarly, the plot and plot elements are so strange and contrived that it’s very easy to interpret it as some kind of bad dream. The Book of Life is the exact kind of silly overpowered nonsense that my dream self would just accept as fact, which I would then wake up and scratch my head over. In fact, for characters who were determined to stop the apocalypse, dreaming about being its cause instead seems very appropriate nightmare territory.
4. Asa Fell is far enough away from Aziraphale to be very clear which pairing or version of the pairing (if you see it that way) you’re talking about. I wish I could say the same thing for Crowley. Short of, I guess, what, calling him Dr. Crowley? Or ditching Anthony for our Crowley, which I don’t want to do. That was one of his chosen names (oh boy, I found another reason to be peeved about them).
I do regret that season two doesn’t wrap up its own story neatly, which is particularly infuriating because, when you actually watch season three, it doesn’t seem like season two was even needed. From a logical standpoint, it does feel like season two is harder to incorporate into canon if you want to ditch season three. But at least there’s plenty of fix-it fanfics. Choose your favorite, or join us S1ers at the Ritz. We shape the story now. No one can drag us away from it.

Forever obsessed with the idea that Crowley COULD have tempted Aziraphale to Fall.
If he'd really put his mind to it, he might have even succeeded, even though Aziraphale has such a strong will.
It would have made Crowley's life so much easier! If he and Aziraphale were on the same side, if they didn't have to worry about their respective home offices disapproving of their relationship! It would have made life so much easier for Crowley.
But Crowley DOESN'T try. He tempts his angel in small ways, yes. To try food and drink. To enjoy the little pleasures that God's creation had to offer. To be his friend. To see nuance when his superiors are telling him everything is black or white.
But he doesn't try to turn Aziraphale from angel into demon. And the Job flashback tells us exactly why:
"I'm not bringing you to hell, Angel. I don't think you'd like it."
Crowley knows that Aziraphale wouldn't be happy as one of the Fallen. Just because rebellion was the right choice for HIM doesn't mean it's the right choice for everyone.
And not only does he respect that....he protects his angel's innocence as best he can, while still encouraging him to see the shades of gray. He wants them to find a middle ground together.
Mad respect for that renegade demon, who wants to let Aziraphale be *himself* while still learning and growing. It's one of my favorite things about their dynamic. He doesn't want to change him fundamentally, even though it might make his life easier.
It's a kindness of Crowley's. He's protecting Aziraphale from unnecessary misery, and it makes my heart soft.
Rewatching The Good Place for a show that:
Successfully critiques the concept of eternal punishments/rewards in the afterlife by using the story to build up the critique. And didn’t just throw it in as a last minute justification for killing off an entire universe of people.
Never forgets that it’s a comedy, despite grappling with very deep questions and concepts. And didn’t pull a genre bait-and-switch at the eleventh hour.
Expresses a deep love for humanity by having its supernatural characters develop redeeming and lovable traits because of their interactions with humans, to the point they eventually fight alongside the humans to save the afterlife-world. And didn’t minimize the agency of human characters by reducing their role in the narrative and by implying that said traits of the supernatural characters were actually just immutable facets of their souls or something they had the whole time or whatever.
Involves the main cast of characters essentially choosing to die, but because the show let them have a prolonged happy ending/afterlife and let them freely choose when it was their time to move on, all after they changed their world for the better, it was actually bittersweet in the best way. And didn’t have every single being in existence get obliterated, including characters who never got to resolve their relationship issues or reunite with their estranged sister or get a real shot at a regular human life or or or
Man, it sure would be crazy if another show chose to do the latter, terrible thing in each of these examples, wouldn’t it? Anyways
Jaskier is an immortal being, and he's very invested in keeping that fact a secret. Unfortunately, this means he has a rather poor grasp of what constitutes a normal amount of pain.
As a result, whenever he gets hurt, his first instinct isn't to panic. It's to glance at Geralt.
If Geralt barely reacts, Jaskier assumes he's fine.
If Geralt goes pale, swears, or starts moving with alarming urgency, Jaskier promptly decides that perhaps this is, in fact, a situation worth freaking out about.
remember how Terry Pratchett used to write little New Year's resolutions for Aziraphale?? does anyone have these?? 😭
