But as i was busy doing something else today, i had this one i wanted to bring up:

When it comes to not very positive critique of the finale and the fandom's reactions in its defense, there's this one major argument i see people use a lot

"The >very ungrateful< fans are just pissed because they didn't get what they wanted/it didn't go how they wanted and the show didn't try to please them."

And it sorts of gets a chuckle out of me because, you'll see.

If you rewatch this finale, pick it up with your bare hands, then rewrite every scene on the computer in script form. Turn it into a written script for a movie or episode, no big extra detailed narration, write mostly dialogues and actions. Write everything you're watching in that order. Read it all.

And it will jump to your face how so much of it feels and breathes as if it was written and made purposely to give the majority of the fandom what the people behind the finale thought the fandom would exactly want.

Manufactured exactly for that one good pleasing satisfying feeling of like when you were a child and ate some big big piece of cake filled with all sugar and barely anything else in it, the cake itself barely a cake. But it diiiid taste good in the moment and god it did make you happy before the nausea came.

So, if you write it and read it, dialogue form, you'll notice just how much of it is actually very cathered to the fandom.

And I'm not talking about ships, i mean everything.

So that argument/attempt at insulting anyone that presents a not positive opinion, never made sense to me.

Does this mean i think that "Cathering to the fans and writing everything purposely so they like the ending" is a bad thing? No, a lot of shows do that.

I don't really like it much and i find it to be a sort of cheap way of an ending but that is not enough to make it "bad" and many pull it off quite well.

TADC'S finale (or the show's overall) issue is that -while trying to appeal to everyone so that they have absolutely no complaints- it sacrificed its own substance for it.

It is not bad because "fans are unhappy" it is a questionable ending because it didn't really try much beyond the initial feeling of satisfaction in the first bite, it didn't try to be a full lunch. Out of fear.

One of TADC'S biggest issues, if you rewatch the show, is that it is scared of itself, it tiptoes in its own plot. It is vague, it is fearful, it teases a lot but it is too scared to dive in. Three step forwards, two steps back. And you would think, despite the pace it is having, it will eventually get to the end of the race, will it not?

But it never really does. However it keeps promising that it will. But now the race is over, and the roads are no longer there. But wait.

Wait. It is not only that it tiptoes and refuses to finish its walk, it's that it lies to your face telling you that it already finished the race long ago.

Imagine you go see a friend because they promised to go out with you, you're in front of their house, you can see from the window that they're waiting for you in their couch. They see you, stand up and start walking towards what you think is the door (they promised to go out didn't they?) but instead they stop directly in front of the window, just looking at you and not moving. You ask them what's wrong >>why are you not outside? << and they insist that they are already outside next to you ready to go. Ignoring any arguments, your friend will continue saying that they're already outside. They took all the steps they promised to take to get outside.
