Not sure if you're still doing asks about "when did you get into hudcon" but for me the pipeline was "wow this hockey show really works cause these guys have such amazing chemistry, never seen anything quite like that before. I wonder if the team has talked about how they made that happen?" -> read Jacob and Chala interviews where they basically just say "they're just like that" -> watch some hudcon interviews (probably the Quinn one is the most That for me) and go "why do they look more in love with each other when they aren't acting like they're in love with each other?". Apparently they can sell Shane and Ilya being so down bad immediately cause of whatever happened on that zoom call! And I guess in future all casting directors had better hope they happen to pair up soulmates for chemistry reads.

there are too many hudcon moments to choose from, they’re all insane, each like something straight out of a romance book in their own ways but maybe what stands out most to me is the way the other people speak about them - jacob, chala, the two women from the casting team etc. all these seasoned professionals talking about their chemistry like it’s something they’ve never seen the like of before is so heady to me. jacob comparing the chemistry read to the zapruder film is wild. all those celebs at the met gala after parties watching in disbelief of what they were witnessing under the waning gibbous moon. it’s like whatever is between them is so palpable it affects everyone in their orbit too.
