Ok so right now I’m in “Matilda The Musical” at my school, and I was thinking about this idea during practice.

Hortensia is said to be a bit of a troublemaker even before Matilda showed up.

She seems to know more about Chokey than most kids, so I was thinking…

Maybe she purposefully gets herself put in chokey so other kids don’t have to suffer chokey? Because you can’t put more than one kid in chokey at a time.

(Expect of course when trunchbull built like 100 chokeys, but that was AFTER Matilda showed up)

Yeah so I think Hortensia purposefully gets in trouble to protect other kids from having to go to chokey.
