i think the main thing, and something a lot of autistic rep in media gets wrong in media is not glamourising autism if yanno what i mean? like a lot of the time people just show the 'quirky' and 'cute' bits rather than the actually disabling bits like sensory issues and having trouble socially. of course its important to show the good bits abt having autism, but a lot of the time autistic ppl are flattened into the very unhelpful stereotype of genius low support needs whiteboy.
