greetings to all who have arrived at this point.
here you will find a collection of my musings, my grimoire pages, my thoughts on pagan workings, my relationships with my deities, and the overall workings of my craft.
i like to record things here for use later, to put in my grimoire or to put into practice. you'll find spells and rituals i have created for my own personal use (however, if they've been put online, they're free for everyone to use). i like to record my relationship with my deities, and as they are a huge part of my practice, there is a lot of that here.
a while ago, i had a different intro post that included a masterlist of posts i had seen related to my deities, or even ones i had made myself. this intro is incredibly outdated, but, if you're interested in the masterlist, you can find it here.
i don't follow a particular path, although some may call it tradition witchcraft. when i started i was all about labels. as i grow, i learn that all that matters to me is that it works. i have carefully curated my path to follow the traditions of the land that i work and live on, to follow a rhythm that makes sense to me, and to follow the cycles of the natural world that occur around me.
i am an ecology major in school, and i have curated my craft to follow ecological terms and rhythms. i live in the midwest, and have irish and scottish roots, and incorporate what makes sense to me and works for me.
this means i am not always following things to a t: i work with the sabbats in different ways. i have rebranded full moon names to reflect the rhythms of where i live. i listen to the general associations of plants, trees, and crystals, but i also relate them to my own experiences and associations.
in short, everything is personal to me. that means not everything i post here will work for everyone.
i follow many deities, and am interested in many pantheons.
deities i follow, love, and worship:

anpu - my patrion deity, an egyptian god of death, judgement, and passing over. i work with him primarily to process my death trauma, my sexual trauma, and to understand the unfair workings of the world (sometimes things happen out of my control. sometimes they are unfair, and justice will never be served. sometimes i lean on my god anpu to rationalize this).
hypnos - the greek, cthonic god of sleep, of dreams. sleep used to be a very hard thing for me, but in his comforting presence, i find rest. we work on dream interpretation, subconscious thoughts, and the liminal space between sleep and being awake.
eos, helios, and selene - i work with these three in conjunction: the greek, triplet titans of the dawn, sun, and moon. eos represents beginnings, helios represents life, and selene represents peace to me. they are all detrimental to my craft and i find myself celebrating and praying to them throughout the natural cycles of the day.
apollo and hyacinthus - i worship these two in conjunction with one another as well. apollo is the greek god of the sun, healing, and education, while hyacinthus is a greek hero and apollo's lover. i turn to them for matters of love and the heart, and offer to apollo when i take my medicine or work on my health.
artio - the celtic bear goddess, i worship her and her wild aspect. as an ecology major, i dedicate my learning, my work, and my conservation efforts to her. i also have grown closer to the rhythms of nature and the spirits of the land, flora, and fauna through her.
the morrigan - the celtic goddess of war, death, and sovereignty. she helps me work through personal conflicts, a looming presence over my craft as she guides me and shows the blunt truth.
hekate - the greek goddess of the crossroads and liminal spaces. she is a mysterious figure in my craft and, instead of outright communicating with me, or offering easy solutions, she shows me my choices. to choose one or the other, and that is our relationship. she is a light in the dark, a torch, yet she is also the looming dark.
energy, ecology, and tarot
as stated, i am an ecology major and thus look at the world through this lens. energy cannot be created or destroyed, just like in the law of conservation of energy. i find that when i am using energy, i am recycling what is already there. when i am shedding unwanted energy, it is returning to the earth to be recycled into something someone else can use. when i am grounding, i relate it to falling leaves. like a tree, i no longer have use for these leaves. but the earth may use it - like a bug using a dead leave for shelter, or the leaves naturally decomposing and being used for nutrients.
i plan on making a long post on my ecological, magical worldview, and will update and link it here.
i love using my tarot cards to communicate with the spirit world and my deities. it is my favored form of communication. there is no one way for me to use it - each deck prefers a different style. i am still learning, as we are all still learning, but tarot is detrimental to my craft.
