this is the album I’m most familiar with from Janet. Looking at the track list I’ve heard” Together Again” (my FAVORITE Janet song), “Go Deep” “Got Til It’s Gone” “What About” and “I Get Lonely”. I watched the videos for most of these like 100 times this era was so good.

So The Velvet Rope is a concept album that was made after Janet had an emotional breakdown and began facing depression. She reupped her Virgin contract for $80 million, the largest recording contract in history. I think she was still married at this time but I remember the themes of What About and uh goddamn. Im looking forward to hearing the rest of the album this one is 25 tracks, 18 songs 7 interludes.

The worst part of a republican dying is seeing all the democrats saying "Oh we disagreed but I'll mourn them" or "their politics may have been horrible but they were still a human being" STOP BEING NICE! When a republican dies you don't have to act like they were a saint. You don't even have to act like they were a decent person. Tell the truth. Like it or not, politicians have to be unifying figures. Just because Trump upended the norms that doesn't mean others are not bound by them.
