having heard it first from her older sister was not something she was expecting her day to go on with. the town was just buzzing with the news by the time she came out of that little room in the back of the library - the employees trying to discuss about it with her. she wasn't really too sure on what her stance on all of it was because on one hand, guy wasn't someone who made shit up on the fly for attention and on the other, it's possible that guy got into something he shouldn't have. maybe the people were right and he's not doing okay on that possibility? whatever the case may be - she was back home after her shift had ended with a quick shower to shake off the day from her. though, the idea still crept in the back of her mind on.. what if he was right? can they really not leave? at the sudden knocks upon her door, she was in the kitchen to prepare something to eat when she turned off the stove and headed for the front door. "yeah, who is it?" she called out, waiting for an answer before her smile grew in hearing who it was - opening the door after unlocking the locks to shoot him a quick smile. "what's up? .. have you heard about the hot gos' around town?" she raised a brow when leaning into the edge of her door a bit, slightly damp hair still on display as she couldn't help to smirk a little at her own tone. dressed in an old baggy t-shirt and sweatpants with white ankle socks on her feet - she went for more comfy than anything else tonight.
This all seemed like it was crazy at least until Andrew saw it for himself. But of course he knew Guy wasn't someone that just made things up out of the blue. And much like everyone before he seen it for himself, he thought maybe Guy was just going crazy or something. But clearly Guy had been right. He owed him a drink the next time he came in. "It's Andrew." He answered her when he heard her call out. Once the door opened, he couldn't help but smile when he saw her. Noticing her damp hair and relaxed looked, he liked it. "I have, at first it was just gossip. But I tried it." He told her. Those blue hues looking into hers. "I swear we can't get out of town. It like makes a big circle I swear it." One thing that Andrew had never done was lie to her and he wasn't about to start now. "If you want, we can take a drive out there this way you can see it for yourself. I'll buy you some dinner." He offered, with a small smile resting on his lips. Hoping she either believed him or would come with him to see it for herself. "What do you say, take a chance?" He questioned, offering his hand out to her.
"thanks," he nodded at the drink, taking a sip before setting it back down to pace himself. he frequented the place enough to be familiar with the owner. not that there were a lot of watering hole options. what andrew said made absolutely no sense though. "sorry, what?" surely the man was just joking or recounting some movie that he'd seen to mess with dean. they raised an eyebrow at him. "hilarious. next thing you know, we'll have vampires. don't know if i'd be first in line for that one though. immortality sounds horrible. can't imagine living forever. i think anyone would really go nuts if they had to deal with that long."
"No problem." Andrew nodded his head a little bit. "Yeah, that is what I heard. Thought about taking a break and trying them out myself." There was a small shrug. Maybe Guy had just went crazy or something." There was a small chuckle that left Andrew's lips when Dean mentioned vampires, shaking his head a little bit. "I don't think I would want to live forever either." Especially everything that happened with his family, being stuck in town didn't seem appealing at all actually.

oliver was the type of person who was constantly reading whenever he wasn't busy. the library allowed each person to check out ten items at a time, and he always hit the max at the end of the month with his picks for next. he was holding a precarious stack and making a beeline for the checkout counter when he rounded a corner and stumbled into someone, dropping everything. "oh shitâ i mean, sorry!" he quickly knelt down to start picking things up and hoped no pages were folded. "don't judge too harshly. i swear i actually read all these, eventually."
Libraries weren't exactly Ryan's thing but he did read whenever he got bored. Even if that wasn't that often. But he did do his best. This stuff with the roads and Guy had been a bit much. Not that he had tried the roads himself. Although he probably should. But he did want to know what he was getting himself into if it turned out to be true. When he felt someone stumble into him, he leaned down to help the other pick up the books. "It's all good no worries." He told the ither guy. "No judgements but do you got some good recommendations?" There was a small chuckle that left his lips after he asked.

clara was tempted to check the roads herself to see if word of them 'not working' was actually true, not because she believed it, but to disprove it and finally shut up everyone who was regurgitating the same gossip; she knew that life in town was uneventful, but spreading such an obvious lie was not the way to go about finally getting some excitement going. she stood off to the side of the restaurant with a cigarette between the fingers of one hand, and a mug of coffee she snuck out with in the other.
when she heard the footsteps of someone approaching, she slowly turned her head and greeted them with an upward nod. "if you're out here fishing for a cigarette, you'll have to tell me if you believe this 'broken roads' bullshit too."
"And see this is your place is always trying to burn down." Joey teased, lightly shaking her head a little bit. "I gave up smoking a long time ago." The redhead pointed out. Of course they went out there and tried to the roads, even if it wasn't apart of her job description. But it had been important to know or not. There was a small sigh that escaped her lips as she leaned against the wall next to her. Glancing over at Clara for a moment. "And what if I told you it wasn't bullshit?"

The gossip was everywhere, he heard some much from people at the bar. That he wasn't sure what was true until he tried it out for himself. But he ended up right back in town. Which prompted him to rush back to his house but of course he stopped by his neighbor's first. Wanting to make sure she had heard the news and knew what was going on in town. Just in case she hadn't been in town today. Moving over to the door, he raised his hand to knock on it. Awaiting her answer. This door was next on his list to things to fix. Not like it was broken or anything. He just wanted her to have a newer door. Honestly he liked working on her home, and he will still continue to work on her home despite the roads being closed.

already one drink in, dean was already more talkative than usual. hopefully the company that just sat down next to him at the bar wasn't boring. or a cryptid nut tourist. they'd had enough of those today already. "my friend works at the mayor's office," they began vaguely as a way to pique interest. there was a little pause as well before he continued. "supposedly the guy who owns the auto repair place had a mental breakdown. i'm not shit-talking him or anything, but how? this is the most laid back place ever. too much, actually. what's there to break down about?" they scoffed.
Pouring someone's drink, Andrew placed it down on the bar in front of the person. Turning his attention over to Dean now. "I mean you aren't wrong, this place is pretty much laid back." He commented, before picking up a glass to pour Dean another one. "I heard it had something to do with the roads and not being able to get out. But that is just the gossip I have heard so far." Being behind the bar, Andrew heard a lot. He wasn't like the typical owner who just hid in the back or something. Instead he liked interacting with his customers.

ryan was born to imani and derek jackson, but derek ended up bailing when he was like three years old after his sister was born. he couldn't handle being a father or a husband. even though his family name was everywhere. his mother was a well known doctor, hell even his father had been well know before he disappeared without a word or anything.
his mother pushed him and his sister to do the best that they could, hell even be better than most. he played sports, and looked after his sister because his mother was away at times due to how well she known in the medical field. his mother pushed them to become doctors because of their names and the doors that were open for them. but ryan didn't want to become a doctor and this always caused his mother and him to fight.
in school he got good grades, but loved football more and that was what he wanted to be. a professional football player. that was all he wanted as a kid as well so he worked for what he wanted. even if his mother didn't want him to become a nfl star, she still supported him and so did his sister. after he graduated, he went to college on a full scholarship, deciding to take education as a major and minor. just in case.
but the nfl got to him his senior year and offered him a contact with the philadelphia eagles, of course he signed it right away. getting drafted to the team being the youngest to get drafted at the age of twenty one. they won the championship that year thanks to him. throughout the years, they did their best to stay on top.
the year he lost it all was the worse for ryan. he had came out as pansexual not just to his family but his team as well. he was going to meet up with his boyfriend at the time and his mother for dinner when he got into a car accident. it crushed his leg and he was told that he would never recover fully. so he broke up with his boyfriend, and start travelling.
that was how he ended up in danville, making a decision he put down roots and decided to become the high school football coach and english teacher but only after he finished up his degree and got it. which was something that ryan was proud of himself for. doing his best day to day to make his life work for him now, and work on trying to get his knee back in shape.

BIOGRAPHY: (tw: Child Abuse, Torture, Death)
josephine gibson aka joey, jo or jt was born and raised in santa monica, her father, daniel was a firefighter and her mother, molly was a teacher. at the age of seven she lost her father while he was on the job, her mother slowly slipped into a deep depression and started drinking more and lost her job due to the drinking and she was never really there. so, at the age of seven, instead of her putting josephine to bed, she had to make sure that her mother went to bed even if she wasnât sober due to her passing out after a long night of drinking either at home or at the bar. whenever she went out to the bar, she would sometimes bring a guy home and that really did bother joey because she felt like she was disgracing her fatherâs memory.
josephine had to make her own dinners because her mother wasnât sober. one night she lost her temper really bad while she was drunk and ended up slapping josephine right across the face when she was just ten years old. instead of staying home, josephine ran away first going to the graveyard to visit her father, and then she went down to the pier. finally returning later that night, her mother had noticed that she was gone and had gotten worried and sober for once. that was also the night that she realized that she had a problem and needed to fix it. so, her mother got help, and turned her life around again and they became a family unit again. josephine was proud of her mother for getting the help and getting a job even if it was a waitress at the local diner.
in middle school, josephine decided to go out for the basketball team. she was really good at it, and her mother told her that she reminded her of her father and that she was really proud of her. joey ended up getting in his number and she wore it with pride, hoping that she would never let him down. besides basketball, joey made her own friends and did very well in school and her mother enrolled her in dance classes as well. sure, it wasnât josephineâs passion but she did love it. the redhead ended up becoming popular due to the basketball, but she didnât let it get to her head and she wasnât that mean at all. before high school started up, josephine went away to basketball camp it was a tough choice because she had to choose between dance and basketball and in the end she choose basketball.
during high school her freshmen year, she tried out for the varsity team and got on it and by sophomore year, she ended up becoming captain. she came out as a lesbian at the age of sixteen turns out she wasnât attracted to guys at all. even though she tried it once but turned out she was more interested in the ladies. josephine got a summer job before her junior year of high school, working on a construction crew. of course, she still did basketball and dance. around this time she also got her first girlfriend, her first love. the two girls were inseparable, and josephine thought she was going to spend the rest of her life with this girl. but during senior year everything changed. she ended up getting offered a scholarship. besides always wanting to be a firefighter like her father, she also wanted to go into the Marines. much like he did so that was what she did, after she graduated. she broke up with her girlfriend not wanting to do the long distance thing, and enlisted into the marines.
after she survived boot camp, her unit was deployed. turns out that josephine was really good at being an sniper. after a few years and a couple of returns home, her time was up but she decided to enlist again. this time things didnât go as planned while they were out on a run. their unit was ambushed, some of the members died and others were taken and tortured. she was one of the few that were taken, josephine did her best to stay strong throughout the torture because she knew that was what she had to do. a year later they were finally rescued by another unit on complete accident. the marines had declared the remaining members of her unit missing in action, and dead and josephine had no idea until she came to finally. they discharged her, giving her an honorable discharge along with the rest of her unit. coming back home, things didnât feel the same, yes she had her family back but she just didnât feel like the same josephine as before.
josephine decided to drive, and some how she ended up in danville. she returned home for visits as much as she could while she was doing online college, she dated here and there. joey really did try her best to try and get back to normal. after she graduated the fire science programs and emt program, she got into the fire houses, working her up through the ranks to become captain. she is still dealing with her ptsd but she is doing the best that she can.
was that andrew callahan i just saw? couldâve sworn it was chad michael murray. weird. anyway, theyâve been in town for all his life and still havenât left. must be because as a 40 year old owner of the thunderbird & carpenter, theyâre pretty broody + flawed. but hey, i heard they can be observant + thoughtful as well. weâll see them around the outskirts , for better or worse. they kind of remind me of old books and a listening ear.
born to marie and james callahan, andrew came a few years before his little brother. they both discovered a love of sports, but andrew loved football which was something that he was good at and his father was proud of him for and of course helped him. heck he helped both of his boys not just andrew. with andrew being the oldest, he felt the responsibility to look after his little brother and make sure that he was safe so that was exactly what he did. even though he knew that he could handle his own.
during school andy got good grades, he pulled those a's and b's. but one thing that he love was reading. it was always just something that he enjoyed and seemed to calm him. he easily fell into the stories that he read. in high school he became a jock but one that could also be found reading. the person that really broke him out of this shell was in fact michelle hayes, he fell for her hard. the two became the item since sophomore year, couple of the year, prom queen and king. they passed high school and instead of going to college, they got married because they found out that michelle was pregnant.
nine months later, his son was born. while michelle took online classes to become a teacher, andrew taught himself on how to become a master carpenter but he also learned how to fix things. becoming a handy man as well. so he did odd jobs around town. after she graduated everything seemed to be going great for the little family. they moved to fennel street and started living their best lives together. andrew never thought that life could get any better than this everything seemed to be going perfect.
at the age of thirty five, everything changed, his son davis was fifteen at the time just turning sixteen they were out having a family dinner for his birthday and it was rainy night. the roads were slick and another driver lost control and ran right into the family. when he came to, he was in a hospital bed. he had been in a coma for almost two years. he woke up to the worst news, his wife and son had been killed in the accident. andrew didn't want to do the rehab at first, but his brother pushed him to do it.
once he was able to get back onto his feet, he decided to sell the house. as much as he hated to do so, the memories were just too much for him. he ended up getting a small house in the outskirts, and opening up the thunderbird dive bar all while still doing his small handyman and carpenter business. still doing his best to deal with the loss of his family, he hides the pain as much as he possible can and puts on that brave smile for everyone.
