;; I decided to go ahead and test Freddy as a muse, since my YouTube feed has been nothing but new analog horror vids. Specifically what inspired this was Urban Finds at Fredbear's and this compilation of Cr1TiKaL as Freddy.
My Freddy will have a lot of inspiration from both videos, acting as a more mischievous but well meaning character, with a heart of gold. In the "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Theme Song," Freddy claims to comes off as threatening and scary, although he's actually a happy-go-lucky and fun-loving bear who's outgoing and loves making new friends. He does step into his leader role quite easily, and when he gets upset his behavior is reminiscent of old mobster dons from gangster flicks, being sarcastic and cruel.
I'll eventually explore the Child, Gabriel, in his suit, but mostly he will be written as primarily *himself* the character, *not* the child spirit.

That's a sure fire way to get bitten. Or ripped in half. Or flipped off a cliff. Or sucked into an engine. The possibilities are endless really.
That's the lesson Big Brother hammered home from the moment The Gang swept you off the streets. If you want to Survive, focus on the teeth in front of you. That's all you can do. And Tanith took those words as gospel. It wasn't difficult. Since The Shattering, their home world had been overrun by monsters of every kind. Mutated highborns, the twisted results of failed genetic enhancements, raining down from the Upper City towers... Exotic monstrosities brought in for the annual Hunt, broken free of their chains... Viroids crawling out after dark to drag you into their subterranean labyrinths and feed you to The Disease... The Shattering unmade their perfect, orderly world, and left the survivors scrounging for scraps in a new dark age. Big Brother might not have been related to any of the kids The Gang took in, but he gave them the tools they needed to survive.
Tanith was one of the lucky ones. Not just lucky. Talented. Hunting came as naturally to her as breathing. Even the Beasts that weren't dangerous seemed drawn to her, and even at a young age she was daring enough to try to tackle any challenge.
She found the ship when she was fifteen, alone on a hunt, and almost by accident -- a small, but powerfully built spacecraft, crashed in a ravine on the outskirts of The City, and badly damaged. But as soon as she saw it, she knew it was her ticket to freedom. She spent the next three years repairing the craft, telling only her two best friends about her discovery. Together, the three of them made their plan of escape. As soon as the ship was ready, they christened her The Medusa, took to the stars, and never looked back.
The trio soon learned that monster hunting across space was a very different, dangerous game than what Big Brother had prepared them for on Homeworld. By the time she was nineteen, Tanith had more scars and stories than she could count. But the time she was twenty-two... she was alone.
She's stayed that way ever since. It's... easier. Than trying to train someone to keep up. Than worrying about looking after anyone but herself. She's made a name for herself in some of the darker, stranger corners of the universe as a professional -- you need a monster dealt with, you find yourself The Medusa. One way or another, Tanith will get the job done. Because that's all there is. Just This Job. And if she's lucky... The Next.

The Teeth In Front Of Me (Main Verse) - Tanith is traveling the universe alone, hunting monsters and aliens of every kind -- relocating some, leaving others to her network Black Market dealers. When she's not on a Hunt, she's studying every form of xeno-fauna she can find, or picking up odd jobs in "security" -- body guard, henchman, bootlegging, bounty hunter -- she doesn't much care who it's for, so long as it pays.
Take A Bite Of The Past (Jurassic Park) - In which Tanith is a member of the Jurassic Park containment crew.
Teeth In The Dark (CONTROL / Alan Wake) - In which Tanith is a junior Ranger, working for the Federal Bureau of Control. She is part of a specialized "cleanup" team that goes into AWE zones to contain disasters before they spread. Her expertise lies in tracking and trapping Parautilitarians and Altered Entities, to prevent them from spilling out into the civilian world.
