Hello, small update on my stand point in this situation.
After recent information that has surfaced about this incident, I have come to my own conclusion that Zeal is not guilty of the crime he was accused of by REN.
Ren is clearly a mentally unwell individual, this should be obvious. As someone with BPD, I myself have been in a similar mindset as they have and I have sympathy for that, I hope she can recover from whatever it is that she is going through. However, their mental state/disorders do not excuse their behaviors and it disgusts me that they use it as a crutch, so time will only tell if they accept help and grow from this.
The things Zeal has had to put up with along with the rest of the team also upsets me, but I do not think Zeal is the most mentally sound person either. I feel he should take a step back from this project and figure out how to function properly with such huge responsibilities (like running a team and being a boss etc) proper communication (even with autism) is possible with practice and the right support system. Again, mental illnesses/disabilities should not excuse someoneโs actions. In a recently leaked post in a Dev discord server, Zeal has addressed this unprofessional behavior and is taking action to amend this.
That being said, A follow up post by Zeals mother (found on the public discord sever) has stated that this case has been put to rest under cease and desist which is one of the better outcomes to have happened in this matter.
We as a community hold no more power over this and honestly this shouldโve stayed between ren and zeal + whoever else was closely involved instead of being thrown to the wolves that are twitter users. Going forward, if you want things to settle in the community, STOP FEEDING INTO IT. Itโs been almost two months (?), thereโs nothing more that can be done.
Going forward, i will comfortably be posting artworks, fan works, and other projects involving the fandom and the game. Thank you for your patience in this.

Hereโs a small peak at tailsโ design in my au :3
I plan to design Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, Cream, and eggman for this AU. Shadow may be added too but Iโm debating it as Iโm not sure where to put him in the story yet.
Hiiii so, new to the EXE community so forgive me if I get things wrong. But hereโs my contribution for an idea. :3
Short explanation below the cut โฌ๏ธ
In this au, the victims donโt take over the characters in game. Instead X is just there to kill and steal souls from people who play the game. Thereโs this weird time loop that theyโre all stuck in and tails becomes aware of it.
(Usually the trope of EXE stories is โtails abuseโ which means itโs usually a common theme that tails is the main or first victims in all the stories. So I chose to take this and run with it)
So after tails discovers the timeloop, he begins to look for a way to break it and figures if he can kill X, the loop will end and theyll be free. After dying by Xโs hands multiple times over and over again, he begins to grow paranoid about the people around him (Sonic specifically). He canโt trust if the people around him are themselves or X. (This is important later)
After nights of constant researching, he finds a being that calls itself โsunshineโ. Itโs some holy being with powers to match Xโs. Tails being desperate for help, allows the god to assist him in stopping X. (Spoiler alert, sunshine is an evil Latin Sun deity)
Sunshine watches over tailsโ every move, giving him predictions and advice with the intention of gaining his trust. Which, yes, tails does trust them. Eventually, tailsโ paranoia grows so strong that he canโt separate reality from delusion anymore. (Sunshine feeds into his delusions) One day, Sonic approaches him and tails kills him out of fear that itโs X trying to trick him.
This bloodshed makes Sunshine bond to tails, and corrupts his file. Now, each loop will start with him being broken and glitchy as Sunshine continues to try and corrupt his file and take over the game.
Tails is trying to resist, cure himself, AND figure out how to defeat X
[this is still a wip, but I wanna make a comic series of this eventually, so stay tuned :3]
