At the hydraulics laboratory lesson at the University of Sheffield. If you Google the word ‘engineer’ you will mostly find hard hats, girders and XY chromosomes. In the real world, women take up 51% of the UK working age population, but unfortunately, there are only 8% of professional female engineers. Why is it like that? Young ladies have a perception of hard hats, but this is not true.
