all the genuine hate for robby from this ep is crazy. like was he a GRADE A ASSHOLE?? absolutely he was and not discrediting that in any capacity.

i’d also like to point out that that’s the whole point. “he didn’t get that type of treatment when he was having a panic attack” no, he didn’t. but that is probably what he felt he deserved. the fact that he’d been treated with kindness and empathy was weird to him, it made him uncomfortable. he would have preferred if dennis had told him to pull his head out of his ass and get tf back out there.

we don’t see the internal side of robby this season, it is all what it looks like from the outside perspective and rarely are mental crises actually pretty or severely dramatized the way they are in a lot of different medias!! most often they’re just harmful to the people you care about the most, and in turn yourself. theres so much nuance to this and characterization happening. this is the reality of someone on the edge.

did mohan deserve to be treated like that? OF COURSE NOT!!! AND NO ONE IS SAYING THAT!! she deserves humility and kindness because she’s going through it, same as how as robby was treated in s1. and he should have been the one to dish it out given he’s been where she is. mohan’s panic attack is valid af and is deserving of that care.

and i’m glad someone called him out on his shit because he had no right treating her that way (and selfishly hope we get to see it twice when jack gets back and maybe even a 3rd time with whitaker if we’re being honest).

mental health is complex and often ugly. the pitt has always been right on the money with the realness of their medical cases, their mh cases are no different even when the doctors are the patients (even when they don’t know it, looking at you robinavitch).
