I think too that now would be an exceptional time to start delving into and making fan works if you haven't yet, and to just keep creating and engaging with one another. So many people have forged incredible, long-lasting connections with one another through this game, and it doesn't have to end here.
Maybe it won't be the same as playing, but I promise that letting that go and acknowledging what you have and can still make will be precious in the long run. Y'know, the whole "maybe the real Destiny was the friends we made along the way" type of schmaltz. The stuff I've seen people write and draw, too- it's incredible, and I genuinely wish so many of these folks had a hand on the narrative team.

honestly I think if Destiny had ended after the Final Shape, I would've handled it better. But it's the fact that we have Lodi, who's easily one of, if not the most, interesting character we've seen so far and we don't get an ending for him. I wanted to see Chicago with him, and how being Emissary changed him, and see him become Ambassador to the Nine. We're not getting any of that and it feels more cruel to him than the community in my opinion. Like he's been ripped from his home and now he's just stuck in a void forever. I hope we get some kind of conclusion for him, even if it's not in the game itself

I came up with a Destiny 2 AU where Ghosts can make human-shaped holograms around their shells using the Light. It's lowkey inspired by @jam-etc's drawings of human versions of a few NPC Ghosts.

I had a lot of fun designing Asher's Ghost, who I assume uses the Gensym Scribe shell (above.) I also had loads of fun coming up with an outfit for my Titan's Ghost, Matchstick (below.)
