what if destiny intsead of sparrow instead you you drove a car would that be cool or what
HLVRAI LIVE IN PERSON! And its just a soldout theatre of people watching wayne in a VR headset talk to himself with no screen to show us what he’s seeing and no speakers so we dont know what he’s hearing.
I cant stop thinking of this visual
if there are any active d2 players out there who's down to raid? i can sherpa through last wish + garden of salvation + leviathan + vow of the disciple.... i just really want to take my oomfs through the destiny 2 raid experience and play with people who are still into the game and nerd out about the lore
ALSO A PRO IF YOU PLAY WITH ME FOR ANY OF THE RAIDS/DUNGEONS YOU GET A FREE LORE DROP WITH EVERY PLAY
if you're interested let me know!! dm me :D
did not expect so much attention from this omg TuT makes me really happy though!! if you're interested just hit me up even if you don't know anything about raids or dungeons!! we're all in this together (my last braincell will work its hardest as we fall through jumping puzzles)
Sooooooo uh, I don't know who needs to hear this, but now that I'm finally free (for now) from my exams, I wanted to give my two cents about the whole "Destiny 2 died" thing (I apologize in advance if this post will be a little confusing, I'm still kind of elaborating what I'm feeling and how to express it).
I'm a "new light", technically speaking, I joined at the end of Lightfall, so I've been around for... I think 2 years. A friend introduced me to this game back then and I fell IN LOVE with it. The universe, the characters, heck even the gameplay was cool, and I normally hate shooter games! Needless to say I devoured a lot of lore books, even set to make a coherent wiki of them in my language (only managed to make the Witness and Rhulk's ones in the end, lol), and wrote some fanfictions and funny stories too.
Me and my friend eventually met other two people to play with, my little disaster fireteam who accompanied me for my, like, 500+ hours of game. The three of them are all veterans, so you can imagine their reaction when the announcement came. And the thing is... I felt at a crossroad. Of course I was sad, but I truly felt like I wasn't "allowed" to mourn. To be fair, clearly my own feelings were different from theirs, but, you know, they felt... wrong, in a way.
Then I thought about it – after also sharing these same feelings with my friends – and I realized that maybe I haven't been there for 10 years, I've lost god knows how much content, but I still played, I've spent HOURS and DAYS on it, read the lore, tried raid and dungeons, cried or laughed at cutscenes and dialogues. Heck, I've also made my own Guardian's lore (and my friends joined in with theirs), lore that I'm still working on and updating. So, yea, sure, I was not there day 1, but the time I spent there – that I'm still spending – means something. No matter how much some people try to say it doesn't.
So, this little post was for all of those who are in my same situation, and to them I say: we're all valid fans of the game (it's just sad that we have to reiterate that). I'm sure there have already been made similar posts, but I wanted to give my own spin on it.
Thanks to all for reading, have a little fanart of my guardian Artemis – in civilian clothes because like hell I'm drawing armor – and her ghost Hermes (please don't mind the fact that they're thinking about taking out one of the Nine, it's fine):
See you starside, Guardians.

holy shit Old Chicago leak
the horror of being "god's favourite princess". literally one of my favourite horror themes. the god loves you and it's so scary.
it will always choose you. you cannot die. you'll always come back because it loves you so much. you are its right and left hand, its eternal weapon. it will drown you in its light. light as horror. darkness as horror. what if it thinks you are its best friend.
you are god's favourite princess and it's terrifying.
who up vaulting they glass!!!

Recently I’ve been playing through the Destiny 2 campaigns with a friend of mine. He’s enjoyed what we’ve played so far. Even if he’s not truly loved any of it yet. And I’ve been able to guide him along this journey, because Destiny 2’s quest progression is anything but straightforward.
Using my knowledge of the lore and story to fill in the gaps has been fun, but it’s also highlighted just how much I wish more of the seasonal stories stuck around.
It’s hard to explain that you’re just going to run into Crow during the Final Shape campaign or while listening to the dialogue in a Battleground. It’s harder to explain that Cayde wasn’t only in Destiny 1 and that the flashback mission was a flashback to an expansion you can no longer play. There’s not much that can be done now, but I do so wish there were a way to experience this saga from start to finish. Because it’s a lovely set of stories.

Imagine you are a newly risen Guardian wandering out into the Cosmodrome for the first time and your first visual of your fellow defenders of humanity is some dumbass in a cloak going mach fuck into a wall and nearly killing themself before lasering an entire tank to death.
