He's God, isn't he? Part of the "triune godhead." Then we could have gotten a completely different version of the scene in the bookshop, one where Jesus defends the world he knows and the people he's met and the things he learned (in his short time back on Earth) about love and generosity and helping people become better people. 

Maybe Aziraphale and Crowley ask him to create a world without angels and demons. Maybe he says, but aren't they people too? Can't they learn about love, and generosity, and helping people become better people? Of course they can. Look at the two of you.

And we could have gotten a beautiful mirror to the end of Season 1, where Christ does the same exact thing as the Antichrist, where he doesn't destroy the world but puts it back just the way it was. Even slightly better.

In February 1989, my friends and I travelled to Wyndham's Theatre in London to see "The Secret of Sherlock Holmes" a two hander with Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke - both of whom were on stage for about two hours and held us in rapt attention.

After the play we went to the stage door in hope that we could get our brochures signed. the man went away and was gone about ten minutes. He returned and said "Mr Brett is too fatigued to come out, sorry" we were about to say "Fair enough" when he added "So he asks if you would mind coming to his dressing room to see him?"

Six of us were led into the bowels of the building and the man knocked on the door. The familiar voice said "COME!!!" and we entered. Mr Brett was still in his "death mask" makeup and was sitting with a tea and a fag on a chaise long.

"Gentlemen! Do come in - how very nice of you to come and see me!" he cried. We were all agog. He spent about twenty minutes chatting and signing and my friend Robert C Kew a talented artist and sculptor presented him with an 18" high model he had made. Jeremy later appeared in the TV Times and the model was on his mantle piece at home.

Just then the door was knocked and Edward Harwicke came in "Ah Ted come and meet my friends - and Rob presented him with a model too.

We all agreed as we left that Mr Brett was the greatest gentleman we had ever met - and that day is burned into my memory. Sadly I lost the photo with "Ted" (as I like to call him haha) but have two great shots with the one and only Mr Sherlock Holmes, my favourite incarnation and a wonderful person. EDIT I have added some images of Robert's models - he's seen with Ted

Turned out be a hiatus of 10 YEARS only brought back because people legit mourned for this character the author gave no shits about

The empty house which is joy incarnate but what do you mean Holmes bought Watson's practice what do you mean "my sad bereavement" what do you mean "I had no idea you would be so affected"

The three garridebs good lord "you would not leave this room alive" is the hardest line in history why did you do this Doyle if you didn't care

The devils foot wtf Doyle WTF

The dying detective is horrible but worse if it's after the hiatus like Doyle you asshole

The blanched solider is the gayest thing I have ever read and the saddest but also is low key genius characterization and you get the feeling it was, like, a throwaway story

Man really made, almost by accident, the wildest set of stories ever produced, with the two most iconic characters ever created, all of which somehow spawned
