Omg some of y’all are the worst, it’s so sad seeing that the creator had to apologize for creating a ‘division’ just because some of y’all missed the point, you can’t keep complaining about the lack of diversity and the racism inside of dc if you as a fan bullied and hated on this creator because they simply tried to stand up and actually make a change, change doesn’t come from just spreading awareness about how racist and offensive dc can be be and to the fact that there is no diversity when it comes to their comic books, it comes from taking action yet when someone actually tries to do smth they get bullied and told that they are causing a division, I’m genuinely speechless at the amount of comic fans that totally missed the point or do not care enough about diversity and racism.

And the fact that no one forced anyone to boycott dc, I’ve genuinely seen people on here say that you should still buy books from writers/artists that are minorities to support them.

Imagine if Slade didn’t ditch rose when he figured out she was his daughter. And instead he was her caretaker…

Like imagine they go to the mall…cause she needs clothes…and him being embarrassed. And rose is being picky. And wintergreen is making it harder(for his own enjoyment) so he’s agreeing to anything rose says…and the employees think wintergreen and Slade are a couple.

Or Slade fighting the titans….and he can’t find a babysitter. So the new teen titans are like ??? And they stop the fight cause they can’t fight infront of the kid.

But Slade keeps showing up with rose. And they’re like “dude…find a babysitter.” And “this really removes from your fear factor.” And Slade goes back home with his ego bruised.

AND the next time he comes with rose. The titans offer that one of them babysits while the rest fight. And that volunteer is beastie…cause he’s an asshole and wants to fuck with rose. So they play UNO…and he keeps cheating. And she’s getting ragebaited.

Or like….Tara with Slade. Except 10y rose is there. And Tara is like ??? And she asks if Slade is married. And he’s like “why is this relevant?” And now it’s kinda awkward. And Tara can’t make any moves cause rose is there. And staring….like: 👁️👁️. And it’s uncomfortable for everyone.

And yk how Roy wasn’t in the new teen titans? Donna offers to let Roy babysit (Roy didn’t sign up for this. He doesn’t know what’s going on) and well…Roy does babysit rose..and he got payed twenty bucks.

while we’re on the topic, i once read someone’s headcanon that when rose moved to the states her english wasn’t very good and she got bullied and ridiculed for her accent at school, so slade just started threatening a bunch of middle schoolers

Slade is NOT a shitty character, he is a great character with a complex personality and he is entertaining BUT he IS an awful person, two different things !!!! If you don’t like him as a person then i understand bcs nobody should, but if you totally hate him as a character then you definitely never read his own comics where he is the main focus since he is an interesting case study.
