Every time amber heard gets brought up as the butt of a joke I am obviously expected to agree with and accept, I face this internal battle. Like it’s often this aside in conversation where I don’t want to derail the larger point, depending on the person. But also. Did you know it was a civil case? Did you know she was sued over the op-Ed about dv that did not mention Depp by name? Did you know about their age gap when they first met? Did you know about his extensive, and expensively suppressed, history of violence and abuse? Did you know about the perfume in the bathroom during the trial? Have you read The Gift of Fear (and thus know that certain abusers prolong abuse within the courts)? Did you ever consider that the inundation of reels and other short form videos during that joke of a trial, was by design? Did you know I don’t much use Facebook, or YouTube, but whether logged out or logged in, all my suggestions were cruelly mocking her?? Did you know about the Saudi money? Did you know we all have a predisposition to savage women? Did you know we are all excited when we have an excuse to direct misogyny towards a rationalized target? Did you know expressing misogyny is conditioned to inherently feel good? controversial stance but i do wish i could live forever. i certainly live like i'm going to live forever. i take my time. realistically however my lifespan is dreadfully limited and there are things i've "been meaning to do" that i will never get around to. the Emoji Movie came out almost 10 years ago. in all that time on any random day i could've decided to sit down and watch it, and i did not. how many more decades will slip by like this? conceivably, it could be all the decades i have left. watching the Emoji Movie would not be, after all, a crucial use of my time. much better things to do. i could easily postpone it over and over and over until my final breath where it may not even register to me that i never did watch the Emoji Movie. no great loss, certainly; and yet i find myself intrigued by Patrick Stewart's involvement

one time i was making potato soup and i needed broth for it but i was out of broth. but in my dog food cabinet there was a carton of chicken broth that i had bought for my dog. now the box did say HUMAN GRADE and the ingredients were just bog standard chicken broth. it did say something about joint health for dogs on there. but the ingredients were normal. i even compared the ingredients list to some normal person broth and they were the same. so i did put dog broth in that soup and it did taste completely normal. but i did use the dog broth.

Scooby-Doo is a dog who can talk, which is amazing, and he largely uses his powers of speech to communicate how scared he is of ghosts and monsters, and basically the only thing his owners do is drive him around the country putting him inside various haunted houses and such. I wish I could take Scooby-Doo aside, I want to say to him, these people are not your friends.
