He can tell the moment something, someoneâs attention is on him and heâs no longer part of the backdrop. He can feel the other across the small courtyard amidst the other milling souls. This one is tinged at the edges, he can tell. heartbreak, loss, something not so sinister, but something heâs latched onto on others before. Using pain of any sort normally gets him a soul or two when heâs looking.
Heâs not looking right now, though, so he calmly turns from watching the people around him to look at the other dead on. An omnic monk from the temple, if his clothing is anything to go by. Heâs watching him, he assumes, as his face is turned in Jesseâs direction. Still puzzled by why heâs even at the Temple in the first place, the demon continues to stare back for a moment before tilting his head, the light catching his eyes, and tips the brim of his hat.
Whatâs a little conversation to drown out eternal immortal damnation?
Mondatta makes a thoughtful sound before finishing his conversation with the other monk. He makes his way slowly, almost cautiously to the stranger, sweeping away snow along the way.Â
It doesnât take long before heâs standing in front of the other and Mondatta can see him clearly. He is...certainly different, at least from the people who usually visit the monastery these days. Something about him still doesnât sit right with the monk, but he keeps it to himself.Â
âHello,â he greets the other soft, âI apologize for staring; I am Teckhartha Mondatta, and who might you be?â
