It’s not okay to go to a blogger expecting them to fulfill your ship fantasy. And there’s a difference between hope, and expectancy. 

This goes double for OCs, but applies strongly to canons as well. 

It genuinely feels like as a whole we’ve gottens so caught up in the aesthetics of roleplaying that we’ve forgotten the purpose of the hobby. We reblog memes but there's a serious lack of actual interaction in the community.

Send asks of all sorts, it doesn’t matter if you think they’re dumb because there’s a really good chance that the mun is going to appreciate the interaction. Comment on headcanon posts because the mun will appreciate the feedback. Make dash commentaries on whatever sparks your muse’s interest.

1) By the ‘aesthetics of roleplaying’ i didn’t mean things like having graphics and icons and the like that make you happy. I meant that too many people are so focused on making ourselves seem like we’re worth the effort, that we’re quality writers THROUGH these means, through the fancy text and the tiny icons and the inaccessible themes that look ~pretty~, that they don’t realize that 40x40 icons that look like they’ve been deep fried and double tiny text with weird spacing and themes that are virtually impossible to navigate aren’t making them seem anything more than inaccessible and unapproachable. It’s not the graphics in and of themselves that are a problem.

help people push their promos. please. i know that the icon promo trend made it easier to just like to show interest, but liking on tunglr does literally nothing from an algorithm stand point. liking does not promote their blog, liking does not show it to more people, liking fundamentally is just a little heart that shoves that liked post into your likes to be forgotten about. liking something on this site is pretty useless.
