Add more female firefighter characters to the 911 franchise
Haven't posted this petition before but this is to help the 911 franchise get a little more gender-balanced in the actual fucking firefighters

I get kinda sick of people who bash Buck for fostering Theo because they think he quote "throws his first family away" meaning Chris and Eddie and honestly I think they have a point about Buck feeling left out of Diaz family now that Chris is older BUT
Eddie is the one in charge of the dynamics here. he's Christopher's dad and it was his choice to let Buck become their support system and be more than just Dad's friend to his son. Just like it was his choice not to acknowledge it in any way except the will but that is for a situation where Eddie himself is not part of the equation anymore to the point that Buck didn't consider himself a part of the team anymore.
it started back in s8 when Eddie moved away to Texas. the whole "everything that matters is in Texas" was not just a silly line. Buck took it seriously and I think to this day hadn't let go of that. I'm sure he still thinks that the only priority Eddie has is Chris, that's the immediate family and Buck has no place there.
what pisses me off is that people don't seem to acknowledge that it's Eddie's responsibility to set boundaries in his family, and it was his call to not label Buck's role in Christopher's life. Could you really blame Buck for trying to create his own family when the person he dedicated half of the last 8 years to said "everything that matters is in Texas" and got mad at Buck having a problem with it?

when asoiaf said either your story will go unrecorded in history and that is violence or your story will be made into an ideal or a warning and that is violence and when it said power is an illusionary thing but it is real and when it said gender and class are both performances utilized to perpetuate an unjust system and when it said dismantling such systems are not easy and it will not happen without violence and when it said the youth will inherit a world destroyed by the older generations and their only choice will be to adapt and rebuild and when it said vengeance is a cycle and catharsis is a lie and only you can stop it and when it said hope and idealism is worth fighting for and when it said over and over and over again atrocities beyond your imagination will happen next to you and to you and the only thing you can do is get up the only thing you can do is keep going despair is the ultimate crime
Imagine reading this and thinking it’s grimdark.

This weeks posts revolve around Buckley-Diaz household and their new fluffy friend
More context in latest comic here
I think people need to start getting used to the idea that Theo will eventually call Buck dad (or a variation of dad; personally I think pops would be great). Not right away, of course. But at some point, he'll be living with Buck for longer than with his parents. The memories of his parents will start to fade. And he will see Buck as a father. So, he'll call him dad or a variation of it. It would make absolutely no sense for him to continue to call him Buck. Whether the writers will do this storyline justice is another matter entirely...
Look, I've critized this show a lot, I know. And it's not nearly as good as it used to be. But I still find things to enjoy about it. But there are people in this fandom who don't seem to enjoy it at all anymore. All they do is complain, complain, complain. And I don't understand why they're in this fandom at all. Why waste so much time on something they hate? It's annoying, it's childish and it makes the rest of us miserable. Just leave. It's ok. And then leave those of us who still find it enjoyable alone. That is all.
Buck: Why do you think eddie would steal your chocolate?
Chim: I don't think, I know. And I'm gonna confront him.
Buck: Chim, Eddie has a silver star he would never..
Chim:
Eddie: *walks in eating a chocolate bar*
Chim:
Buck: Oh hey Eddie! Can I have a piece?
Bobby & Hen: *holding Chim back as he kicks and screams in the background*
So, one of the topics of discussion in this fandom is where should Buddie live if they get together. Should it be the Diaz house ot Buck's house? And my answer is... neither. I think they should get a new house. Both houses have a lot of baggage. The Diaz house is where Eddie hid Shannon from Chris in season 2, it's where his relationship with Ana took place, it's where he asked Marisol to move in witn him, it's where the whole Kim debacle happened, it's where Buck hooked up with Tommy. Buck's house is where he hooked up witn Zane and Jade, it's where he went through detox, it's where he'll initially be raising Theo and also where he'll probably lose him (most likely temporarily). They need a new house free of baggage where they can start over. Also, from a practical perspective, they'd need a bigger house. So, I vote for a new Buddie house.

a fun side effect of people wanting to be SUPER RESPECTFUL of the theo storyline is when they're like nonono it's okay theo will NEVER think of buck as his dad, because connor was his dad! which personally i think is kind of missing the point but ymmv ig. however it does further a delicious buck character aspect where he absolutely is Not Allowed to have a definitive place in people's lives lol. not bobby's son but, not eddie's partner but, not christopher's parent but, not theo's parent but. good job guys we've made another jigsaw trap for him 👍👍👍
