hi this drives me crazy
canon is what happens in the text. e.g. merlin tries to poison morgana
a headcanon is a fact that you have personally made up as an elaboration of canon. it is your invention. e.g. i think morgana and gwen had a teenage lesbian situationship before the events of canon. or, i think modern morgana would love evanesence.
an interpretation is how one reads the existing text. it is not an invented fact nor is it a headcanon, it is a reading. e.g. i think merlin tries to poison morgana out of misplaced self-hatred. or, i think that one line was delivered with suppressed malice and shows a nuanced relationship.
fanon is the general fandom’s accepted headcanons and interpretations that elaborate or recontextualize canon. e.g. merlin is a badass waif and morgana is a bitch.
these are all different words with different meanings.

I need justice to be served for season 1 Nancy. She went through so much and still served us early 80s cuteness and aesthetics.
Can you imagine if Robin was helping Nancy cope with the loss of Barb instead of Johnathan?!... (i hate the duffer brothers)
Pls come back Nance the kids miss you ᰔ
most random ronance hcs u can think of go
OOOH okok
1. Robin chews cinnamon gum. I read ONE fic where she chewed exclusively cinnamon gum and now I can’t get it out of my head. She does look like the type of person who would love cinnamon gum. I also think it would be hilarious if Nancy was mildly allergic to cinnamon and Robin only finds out years later when Nancy’s like ‘oh, yeah, my lips are red because we kissed and I’m allergic to cinnamon’. Robin is HORRIFIED and Nancy is like …what was I supposed to do? NOT kiss you?! hell no.
2. Speaking of allergies, Robin is deathly allergic to bee and wasp stings. Nancy does not give a fuck about how important bees are to the environment as soon as she hears buzzing anywhere near Robin’s vicinity, and Robin has to remind her that bees are generally not an issue unless you make them an issue, though she does appreciate when Nancy goes out of her way to smack the hell out of any wasps that get too close. Nancy definitely carries Robin’s epipen everywhere, even when they’re going somewhere indoors.
3. Robin kicks in her sleep unless Nancy’s spooning her. Nancy acts like she isn’t clingy but she will climb on top of Robin while she’s fast asleep, holding on to her with a vice grip.
4. Nancy’s favorite ice cream is vanilla bean. Robin is horrified by this. Robin likes strawberry ice cream. Both of them hate super rich ice creams, like chocolate.
5. Robin is absolutely great with kids. Nancy nearly goes feral every time she sees Robin being sweet with a little kid or baby and it causes her to go through a bit of a crisis because she’s never wanted kids (and they can’t have them anyway)
somehow haven't seen anyone point this one out yet??

if you say that ronance is just the sapphic equivalent of byler i hate you automatically
I love the idea of Robin and Nancy not having the energy to take care of themselves after everything that happened to them, even decades later.
But they have the energy to take care of each other, because they’d do anything for each other.
Nancy stops taking care of her curls only a few weeks into college, and they get so matted she has to cut them all off. Robin keeps them neat after that. She reads articles about how to properly care for curly hair and does a ton of research, terrified to mess up her girlfriends hair. She makes sure Nancy’s hair is healthy, has all the right product in it, and is styled. Nancy feels so much more like herself with her hair being taken care of again.
Robin’s always been fidgety, but it gets worse after she leaves Hawkins. She bites her nails until they bleed, often not realizing until it’s too late. Nancy paints Robin’s nails for her every week, to keep Robin from biting them. Nancy’s hands are much less shaky than Robin’s and she has the patience her girlfriend doesn’t.
Nancy forgets to eat a lot, and even when she does remember she often doesn’t have the energy. (And let’s be honest, Nancy can’t cook for shit. She burned water last time she tried). So Robin cooks for her, and during the short time they date but live separately, Robin meal preps for Nancy so her girlfriend has meals she can take home and just pop in the oven or microwave during the week. When they start to live together, Robin doesn’t even bother reminding her, she knows Nancy will argue and grumble. So she just puts a plate in front of her girlfriend and walks away. An hour later, the food is always gone and Nancy is much less cranky.
Robin never schedules doctors appointments. She too scared of needles— and anything medical in general after being kidnapped and drugged by Russian’s— to feel okay going. Nancy schedules them for her, and attends each one with Robin, without even being asked. She holds Robin’s hands the entire time, squeezing Robin’s hand every time her girlfriend gets particularly nervous.
Nancy gets so caught up writing and working, that by the time she’s finished she’s too tired to move, let alone walk back to bed. Robin always comes and gets her in the middle of the night, carrying her back to bed with a small smile and fond eye roll.
Robin forgets things… like a lot. In the winter she forgets to put lotion on her hands, so they very quickly get dry and crack. Nancy notices this the first winter they live together, and puts lotion on Robin’s hands every morning and night. Robin also becomes a house plant hoarder at some point in their twenties— she loves those plants like they’re her own children… but she forgets to water them. After the first few die, and Nancy sees how sad Robin gets about it, she makes sure to water the plants once a week.
Just… Ronance taking care of each other.
