After the Columbine shootings, many people in the movie industry were asked to comment on the role of violence in fiction versus violence in reality.  Harvey Keitel was quoted as saying, “If someone focuses on my image on that T-shirt, they are again avoiding the central issue here: Where have the parents failed?”  He added: “After the shootings, I called my daughter and asked her, ‘Sweetheart, I need you to help me understand where we are going wrong as parents.”
