For starters; they'd definitely get a noticeable boost in height, that's the one easy thing to figure out.
Second; if you look at the little nubs on his head, they somewhat resemble quills. What i'm thinking is that those can grow; in default, as a built-in armor, like how hedgehogs use it. However; the length these quills can grow to depends on the health of BOTH parents at the child's/children's conception, and the health of the mother throughout the pregnancy. In natural terms; the quills are mostly meant as an intimidation tactic, to scare off competitors (mostly in courtship, if they aren't that adept in battle). The quills still remain throughout the individual's life, unless something detrimental happens; to where they get scared enough that they just-.. drop them? Or they get snapped off? Still deciding on that.
And on the regeneration; yep! Still got that! That's one of the main reasons most of the bodily symptoms are so complex!
For example: **The cardiovascular system!** Due to an advanced variety of muscle; the veins are capable of closing in on, and re-routing themselves at an area the body is afflicted. As long as the individual doesn't move what's left of that area too much. Evolving to have this trait has made it harder for infections to plague the species, because the wounds are easier to clean; with little-to-no consequence. Care should still be received as soon as possible, because; as the person heals, the infection/disease could slip into the bloodstream as the veins are closing, and the required cells are being copied.
**The Muscular System:** In relation to the cardiovascular/circulatory system, major arteries are put between layers of muscle. This is to prevent the veins from bursting, if a large amount of pressure is put on a limb; the individual can react sooner, as the pain of bruising immediately hits them. This evolutionary trait is also useful for preventing a vein from getting nicked on a bone, and internal bleeding as a result.
Due to the complex biology of his species, as he's taking a human wife (Andrea); pregnancies would take AT LEAST twice the time, approximately in the range of 18 - 20 months. Which is why, even though he really wants children of his own, he immediately tells her this information; he wants to make sure she ACTUALLY wants this as well, before they actually try for kids.
And due to the reptilian features seen on Thrull, and most of the other Humanoid creatures; i'd say that the patterns on the skin could be predicted the same way you do with snakes. However; unlike pure-blooded human offspring, the genes are more likely to take In-Complete Dominance (where the traits combine to give us something new).
