Apparently, you cannot do a Doctor Who series without the entire internet collectively screaming at you to make your remote watching partner view "Blink." It is a mandatory British rite of passage. So, I sat @lunarharpy down to see how she’d handle one of the most iconic episodes in sci-fi history.

As a total newcomer to the Whovian universe, she was completely unprepared for the sheer psychological trauma a 2000s BBC budget could generate. First of all, she was incredibly confused as to why the actual Doctor is barely even in the episode. Second, as someone who usually avoids horror like the plague, her nervous energy was off the charts.

So… the news about RTD exiting and the BBC officially binning the 2026 Christmas Special? Absolutely devastating. No festive episode, no script ever actually written, and the show going out to competitive tender? We are truly entering a new dark age of waiting for the TARDIS to land. 😭

But listen. If the universe refuses to give us a new Christmas special, the only logical solution is to go back to where the modern festive tradition actually started.
