First of all- I think Wagner’s gonna be dead. I mean there’s talks that the actor’s contract didn’t get renewed, and it’s unlikely that they would probably bring him back.

Now for how the first episode is gonna open up- I think it’ll be a sequence of Morgan holding Wagner in her arms while the ambulance shows up and her going to the hospital with him- before ultimately it cuts to his funeral. Karadec or Soto is gonna be one of the first people she calls- but it’s more likely Karadec because he’s her partner.

I’m a firm believer that Karadec isn’t going to leave her side at all during the funeral- and I don’t think that Morgan would want him too. She’s just lost her situationship and is also still dealing with her emotions about finding Roman. Karadec also probably drove with her to the funeral and also insists that he drive her home- not because he’s scared that she’s going to do something stupid, but he’s worried about her being alone (Ludo also probably took the kids and they’re with him for a majority of the episode but maybe Ava shows up a little bit because of the Roman case)

As they’re talking he’s asking her about why Wagner didn’t want her to come with him and told her the wrong time and what exactly happened. They’re gonna start arguing when Karadec gets a call either about a separate case or something new that came up with Wagner’s case. Hearing about a case, Morgan wants to put aside her grief for a moment while they solve the case so that she’ll be able to sleep at night

As for the relationship between the two of them- I think Karadec’s going to be super protective of her (not like he isn’t already) but he’s practically begging her to be off the case once he realizes about her relationship with him and thinks that if Wagner died because he was helping search for Roman- Morgan could be in trouble too

We’ll start here; a conversation that can be translated to, “I know you'd like me to show my feelings more, but that's not in my nature. You make me better. I hope you see that.”

He gets to be the rock that she can lean on, crash into, push against. She can always trust him to be there and to take care of her, even if she can't see it. Or like it.

As Morgan is getting deeper and deeper into her spiral, consumed about their death, the fear of losing her children, you can see Karadec get more and more unnerved. He feels unsteady—he is losing her.

His fear isn’t that visible, but it’s there. He is supposed to be her partner, her support—he is supposed to be calm and collected, for her. But he’s uncertain. She is the reason why he can be strong and silent. But he is losing her. Morgan—this beautiful, chaotic whirlwind of a human is breaking apart. She needs his strength. And in this moment Karadec realizes strength requires action. So, this ‘do nothing, say nothing’ man, who hates germs and physical touch, disregards every one of his natural instincts, for her.

And this action, well, this action changes everything.

Shortly after, we have Oz’s speech at the funeral.

The immediate camera cut to Adam giving Morgan this look.

At Gabe’s house, he lost (temporarily) his Morgan, and it made him realize something.

When faced with the terrifying possibility of losing her, Adam Karadec realized that he would do anything, become anyone that Morgan Gillory needed him to be. He is now realizing that he wants to be the man worthy of her sparkling heart. A man who is no longer a ‘do nothing, say nothing’ man. Her heart is safe in his hands, and he is going to do whatever it takes to show her that.

It’s been a slow build. It’s been a culmination. With each passing case, the way she works and the way she sees the world is so infectious and so inspiring, whether he wants to admit it out loud or not. I feel like he has a Morgan addiction now. It’s like when you see a movie and you go, “I can’t imagine anyone else playing that role.” I don’t think Karadec can ever imagine anybody else as his partner. He’s come such a long way, but now he’s also very protective of her and some of the things that she does that can be self-destructive. It’s interesting and complicated, and he’s evolved.

“I realized we didn’t open the fridge, and as soon as I opened it…” Morgan goes quiet. Adam’s heart is racing, pulse drumming high in his throat. “I don’t know if it was a trap or if it was bad storage. A vial of powder fell out and exploded on the floor. I didn’t step on broken glass, but–” “You inhaled it.” “I inhaled it.”
