ok listen Ik a popular interpretation is that D-16 would hate Megatron and I’m not against it, I don’t think it’s wrong . But I’m of the opinion that Megatron is D-16’s repressed power fantasy given LIFE .
Megatron is D-16 and ik that’s obvious but Megatron has the exact same worldview that D-16 did . D-16 thought “might is right” all the way from the very beginning, it’s how she justified her (implied) oppression . When D-16 got that big ass cannon, she didn’t change her worldview, she didn’t get introduced to revolutionary political theory, she didn’t say the word “equality” ONCE lmfao .
So if you went up to D-16 and told her that in the future, she’d be a warlord in command of an army and she’d have a sick ass cannon and she would be powerful enough to kill a (false) Prime . IDK if she’d hate it, even if you mentioned that she nuked Pax !
When I say Megatron is D-16, I mean that her resentment of Pax was always bubbling under the surface . It’s not that Dee caught Pax and Megatron dropped him, they are the same person . D-16 is Megatron and D-16 made the choice to let Pax fall . She felt guilty about shooting Pax but #shedidwhatshedid . Pax was shot by accident but that friendship was alr on the thinnest of ice .
On the flip side, I do think Megatron wld view herself as these two halves and loathe who she used to be . Megatron 12 am cringe flashbacks in the sequel . Convoluted self hatred .

15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?
Genuinely it’s “who cares”. every time someone says they want to do something but they won’t because of a not real reason (“I dont know” “it’s too much work” “it’ll take a while” type shit) or because they’re worried about what other people will think I channel drew gooden and I’m like WHO CARES. THE TIME WILL PASS ANYWAYS. genuinely who cares what people think you gotta do what you want and if you’re so worried take self defense classes or debate classes learn how to defend yourself. you gotta find a way. I love you

2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?
I saw the sex purge movie one night only holyyyyy fuck does this movie make me so mad and confused at the same time. Like it’s a good rom com. I laughed a lot. I cringed at all the romance. But the only reason it’s rated R is because they wanted to say fuck a lot. If you care about spoilers leave but like the main guy is dating this girl for 2 WHOLE YEARS before she decides she wants to fuck glen powell instead and then at the end of the movie when she doesn’t fuck him main dude can’t be with her anymore and goes to the main girl and it lowkey makes him seem weird to me. Like that’s two years of his life and he doesn’t seem to care ? Like it’s just plot setup for more gags like it doesn’t affect who he is as a person. And despite spending the whole movie trying to indiscriminately fuck other people they decide not to fuck each other and wait a whole year it’s bizarre. Like it feels like there are two writers one really good rom com writer and someone pushing an agenda- the setup for the world is insane with the biochips and proximity stuff like what if you and bro are jacking off together will you get arrested for that ??? Huh??? And also like our two main people are so normal about their circumstances. Like they don’t care. There’s more interesting people in this world fighting back against the mandate but we don’t see them. But Zeke from minutemen was in it so it’s all okay
