Ok like I’m not gonna defend eating tide pods. People die from that. What I am gonna say is all y’all millennials gotta stop being like “oh no stupid kids they don’t understand the meme” The meme is 100% understood. My generation just doesn’t care. And that sounds totally stupid I know. But honestly they don’t care. And that’s because nothing feels real. Like I can’t talk for my entire generation but almost everyone I know my age has done something that they very well could have died from and blew it off as nothing. My cars brakes gave out and I didn’t panic. I was blank as I got it to stop and now I mention it and laugh. I can see how that’s fucked up but I just don’t feel anything. A lot of us don’t. When you ask about college all we can say is “well I have to do it so I’m gonna pick the one that seems the least shitty.” Yeah we get excited but at the end of the day everything we do is a motion. Like the motto for gen z could easily be “we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.” We do homework the day it’s due, we live with the brooding responsibilities but we just ignore it til we have to deal with it because we just don’t care.

Yesterday I almost got hit by a car walking home from school and my first though was literally, “ If it had hit me I wouldn’t have to worry about school anymore.” And it wasn’t really a suicidal thought, but, like, a fact. It’s kind of like we’re removed from everything and it’s sorta terrifying
