ok, so hear me out.

wylan and jesper fight. maybe it's about wylan's real identity, maybe about something else entirely. doesn't matter. what matters is that they don't talk. so when they're on the ship back jesper assumes the reason he can't find wylan is because wylan is avoiding him, because he doesn't want to talk to him. maybe he complains about it to "kuwei"?

anyway, they come back to ketterdam and it's time to talk to van eck, and kaz does the same thing he did to pekka, he uses wylan as a reassurance that his crew will be ok, because what kind of monster doesn't love his son and doesn't want him to be safe..? so jan sinks the ship. and jesper FREAKS OUT because he thinks the love of his life is dead. and then "kuwei" speaks and jesper realizes that wylan is ALIVE. and then we get the iconic "every time" and who knows MAYBE we even get the "i liked your stupid face" call back.
