This clickbait is literally SO funny because while I get they wanted it to look intimidating, that's a fucking ringneck snake.
I guess it looks kind of scary if you dont know what it is. But the ringneck snake (called "southern ringneck" in Florida, where I live) is probably one of the most non-lethal and completely harmless snakes ever. They're not venomous, are nocturnal, and also....
ONLY GROW TO BE THIS FUCKING BIG. They're super tiny!!!! Adorable little things!!! They're just babies. And I love them with my whole heart.
How can you look at this thing, full grown and harmless, and be like "that thing is gonna kill me"? U can't. Is babie.
*OMG, I think they meant this very similar-looking (but extremely different) snake and just... didn’t know any better?
*This is the Malayan (or Malaysian) Blue Coral Snake, a snake whose venom paralyzes its victim almost instantly. The venom is necessary when you hunt other extremely venomous snakes like young King cobras (which they do). Notice the similar cute curly tail pretending to be the snake’s head. Notice the similar colors.
*Also, please note that the quick-acting and deadly venom of this beautiful snake is helping scientists to understand how out pain sensors work and find new pathways through our pain-sensing nerves that can actually help us deliver safer and more effective pain medications to humans!
*In other words: he may be a badass snake with very scary venom (and venom glands that can take up nearly a quarter of his maximum 6 feet of body length), but he is also a good boy who is doing his best and helping people!

Desire paths are just the best human invention because cities will spend millions on sidewalks and yet. Our little foraging brains will think ‘too far cut thru grass for food’ and others will be like ‘other human have good idea. The dumbest thing I ever believed as a kid was deciding to stick with the whole “being a boy” thing because I was way more likely to get a girlfriend that way. I consider this the worst because:
1. Horrible priorities really.
2. I am 9000% more attractive now.
I think I had this attitude like: “how many girls would date a trans girl anyways?”

I guess I just want to put this out there in case there are any trans or nb kids out there following me who think they need to compromise their identity for the sake of romantic prospects. Witnessing so many people pouring their hearts and souls into loving stories, nurturing worlds and characters into something bigger and more beautiful, and turning fandom into that complex, ever-evolving, fascinating playground - this has been an incredible journey of discovery to me, and i am still shocked and full of delight at the talent, energy and dedication all of you pour into it.
I never thought i would find so much joy in the act of sharing my ideas and works with strangers from all around the world, for the sheer joy of it, and because we love the same source material.
I deeply, deeply love this community, in spite of all its flaws and shortcomings, because at the end of the day it’s about passion and enthusiasm and perseverance against all odds.
It’s about reclaiming that deeply human need to tell stories, this need that drives us to sculpt images out of words and create sensations and pictures where there was only void. And to share those stories, and to find joy in making people feel joy, in making people feel things, period.
