ah, the prague show....
okay so, as joost himself would say: what the fuck.
this was honestly one of the weirder experiences in queue of my life. take it with a little grain of salt, but i have been there for the most day. i sat on the sun like idiot. this time i was unable to get barricade cus i was going from berlin and i came by the venue around 11am.
i joined some nice girls, which was super nice. they were amazing about me joining them. as time went on some more of my friends joined. the line was wrapping AROUND THE WHOLE BLOCK. which, yeah. fair.
the problem kind of in my eyes started when they midway gave up with the numbering sistem. i cant really blame them, there were like 3x as many of us in prague than in berlin. ofc it wont work out after person number 36737372 comes
people kept skipping the whole queue when it started getting too long. and there were a lot of gaps between people where everyone could have fit. whatever.
then we slowly started moving, and people were NOT happy. a lot of people from the front started swearing at us (as in not only me but everyone in the back) when we scooted closer. the whole venue looked like a mess. trash, onions, bottles (juice and alcoholic).
the whole moment...really didnt feel like unity. at some point they started going forward, and no shocker people in the back pushed us to the front. as if that was a ME problem. checking in and ticketing was fine, but everyone ran (obviously) to the stage
when we got in, it REALLY got cramped up.it was nice for a moment or two. then ipadkid came on. and the crooooowd waaaas....half asleep. lol.
it really looked like they had much less fun than berlin people. they sang and danced to the songs he played, which were pretty much generic pop songs and some meme ones (i have nothing against it. i love ipadkid).
later on parsa showed up and it seemed like NO ONE was hyped to see him imo. they only got cheery when he mentioned joost. which is ???? to me but okay
when joost came, it was amazing. it was the same setlist as berlin. but the crowd was INSANE. everyone was pushing one another and yet ANOTHER person fainted.
ill give props to the security here, they were giving out MULTIPLE glasses of water to everyone thru the whole show.
it was a good show, altho you could see how tired joost probably was with the whole touring and funeral thing. and i really wish he gets some rest, because he has been working so hard.
the crowd was also slightly disrespectful that when joost asked us not to use our phones, some people still did. fork found in kitchen, im shocked too.
parsa at some point said how this is the most alive crowd he has seen. and i really think hes smoking crack out of his ass if THIS was the most alive audience. altho, he doesnt see how it looks from the inside, so i cant blame him.
joost didnt take off his shirt this time, and i dont recall any sweaty balls jokes like in berlin.
at the end of the day, it was a 7.5/10 show. berlin was 9/10
again, this is MY OPINION and im just objectively stating how it was from me and my friends' POV
The queuing experience was honestly very similar in Vienna. I partially blame the venue/organisers because they only let so many people in through ONE HALF DOOR… but still. People showing up minutes before the doors opened were trying to skip the queue. People were shoving & crowding each other. There was a girl with a sunflower lanyard (presumably autistic?) who got pushed against the barricade outside and understandably had a meltdown. Like folks, this is a concert, NOT the hunger games. Someone in line even said “this feels like Travis Scott haha” which… isn’t funny, and is entirely possible if y’all keep acting like this.
Concert etiquette is hugely lacking in this fandom, and as much as I had fun, it makes me not want to go to any Joost show that isn’t in my city or a festival in the future.
yes!!! i really dislike how most of the fandom acts and i very much doubt ill ever go to another show ever again ://
i love joost with everything i have in me but some fans suck ASS
im sorry you had this experience as i got a complete opposite one. the skipping line was true, people with much higher numbers pushed before us, we had 38 and 39 and suddenly there was like 70 people before us so instead of easily having a barricade we were third row. but once we all got inside it was really great.
people were dancing, were hyped, kept screaming even during ipad kid’s set. when joost said to stop filming everyone around me did, and mind you it was mostly kids 10 years younger than me at the show.
people kept chanting whenever there was a bit of silence between the songs, there were two huge moshpits. so im sorry you got this experience but im glad joost didn’t, and i can totally see why he said this was insane and that he loves coming back here, could see himself going here more and more, that whenever he gets here shit gets epic and that we were the loudest on the whole tour. im sorry that wasn’t your experience </3
omg were you on the left side?? i feel like the left side was most def more alive in comparison to the right (from our pov)
i was right in the middle! like literally the center third row hahaha
mogging
1) any stretching is better than no stretching
2) any vegetable is better than no vegetable
3) statistically you will never be the worst person at anything, there is always someone in the world who is worse at stuff than you are
I am so sick and tired of having to charge stuff every day of my miserable life!! My phone, my watch, my headphones, my vibrator, my backup vibrator, my emergency vibrator, the ancient cursed amulet of darkness that whispers to me....it's too much!!!
