It was at this time that Magneto decided to join in and save her, when he had noticed that she looked defeated and have given up hope. He flew from the within the trees making it look like he had been in a huge rush to find her when he floats before the machine and Anthea, calling to her kidnapper and demanding to let her go.
His eyes were glowing the bright and electric pink they do when he is about to use a great deal of his powers, he continues when he sees no response from the robot. “You will unhand her at once,” far from a demand it was more of a declaration. He was showing fury and playing the part of savior at which he had played for his biological children before.
Anthea sobbed in relief when she spotted Magneto burst from the trees; she was safe, she needn’t worry anymore because he had come for her, to protect her just like he had promised. “Magneto!” her voice cracked, the desperation evident in her tone. Anthea thought that this was it, this was the day she was going to die— her visions were always right and she was going to end up bleeding out on the ground despite her clawing and kicking at the machine holding her captive. But no. Magneto had held up the deal on his end and Anthea was going to walk out of this alive.
“He came for me,” she told me machine in a sing-song voice that was more childish than mocking, “He’s gonna squish you.”
The machine had not surrendered hold of the woman, he was re-programmed by the man to attack when Magneto came to save her, so he will and without holding back. Charging up his plasma beam to be a full focused attack on 75% power, he was well aware of Magneto's strengths and wasn't going to give the magnetist a lead way from the beginning.
As his beam began charging up, the Nimrod teleported himself and the girl behind Magneto to catch him off guard, as he manhandled Anthea to shut up.
