Andre

- Andre does his best to steer clear of the subject of sex altogether during the beginning of your relationship. He's not the type to get flustered super easily in any other situation, but he's a lot more awkward around you, both in general, and when it comes to intimacy. 

- Like, he doesn’t mind suggestive jokes with Cal or anything like that, but he's more careful with his words around you because of how wary he is of your perception of him. If he let something slip, you'd probably think he was some gross, degenerate pervert. Or, that's what he thinks, anyway.

- He'd seem kind of aloof and disinterested most of the time, but only because if he showed any more emotion during it, his nervousness would be a lot more obvious.

- But by the time you both agree that you're ready, and you’re actually about to have your first time together, he has no idea what he's doing. 

- He'll still make the occasional joke (usually at your expense), but most of the time, he's just gonna let you do whatever while he sits or lays back all awkwardly.

- Pretty much any other time he talks, it’s mostly him being a hypocritical douche. Like, he’ll make fun of you for being inexperienced or nervous, knowing damn well he’s in the exact same position. 

- He doesn't really think about how loud he's being, so he's either completely silent, or unintentionally moaning waaaay louder than necessary. But if you point it out, he'll think it's funny and be super loud and annoying on purpose.

- He's pretty open minded, so whatever you wanna do on your first time, he's probably gonna be down for it. As long as he doesn't have to do too much himself, he's cool. 

- I can see him wanting both of you to get overstimulated during it, but since he’s a virgin, he'd tap out half way through a second round.

This is more of just a general thought on her, but even though I don’t mind when people headcanon Rachel as a lesbian, I find it kind of irritating when it’s so obviously only done as an excuse to totally discard her as a character in favor of shipping Cal and Andre together. Like, she’s not involved or even mentioned in most zd fics, which I obviously get, since she doesn’t play a huge part in the overall movie to begin with.

But I always feel a bit weird when her being a lesbian is either used to “make sure” Rachel and Cal aren’t a thing (i.e., “Oh don’t worry, Andre! I’m not dating Rachel because she likes girls!”), or it gives her the illusion of being a more interesting character than she is in these fics bc so many people dislike writing female characters in a way that doesn’t actively further their favorite gay ships. This is also just how fandoms tend to act with women who are in media that has even a HINT of gay man shipping potential, which unfortunately, is nothing new 

This is SLIGHTLY better than just making her another “evil bitch character” that hates Andre and is constantly trying to tear them apart, but like. Not by a lot. Yeah, it’s more obviously misogynistic, but at least she plays an active role in the story.

It wasn't uncommon for either boy to end up like this with each other. Maybe not in this specific situation, but many times when they’ve spent time together at the other’s house, they’d found themselves getting bored and resorting to doing one of the first dumb, potentially dangerous things that came to mind.

It just happened that this time, the first thing that came to mind was sex.

- It isn't impossible for them to be romantically interested in you without all three of you being properly acquainted. It's just more likely for the both of them to catch feelings at around the same time while you're all already friends.

- Realistically, Andre would start to develop feelings for you first, but refuse to ever bring it up to you or Cal for a couple reasons. The most obvious thing for him is how embarrassing it'd be for him to be that open and vulnerable with his two best friends, especially about something as trivial as a crush. Internally though, he's also terrified of potentially ruining the friendship he has with you and/or Cal. He wouldn’t want to tell you how he feels and risk getting rejected and losing you as a friend, or end up drifting apart from Cal if you two ended up going further beyond that friendship.

- I can also see him picking up on Cal’s feelings for you when they start to become a little more obvious, so he'd try to avoid that potential conflict with him for as long as possible.

- Andre is a lot worse at hiding how he feels. It's the most obvious when he’s talking, so anytime he's with you, he limits what he says a lot.

- Cal picks up on how Andre feels pretty quick, especially after figuring out he feels the same way about you.

- He'll smirk at Andre anytime he notices him getting nervous around you, and not so subtly rag on him for it, usually joking about it with you directly.

- If Andre was struggling to say something to you, or trying to get your attention in some way, Cal almost always swoops in and does whatever Andre initially wanted to before he has the chance.

- Cal confronts Andre about their shared infatuation for you shortly after he finds out (but not before he gets to mess with him about it without Andre knowing).

- Andre denies it at first, and he doesn't do that bad of a job at hiding it. Even so, Cal can already see right through him. After a while of the same exchange in circles, Cal tells Andre that he only brought it up because he feels the same, which causes Andre to begrudgingly admit it too.

- Things are a bit awkward between them at this point, but it doesn't last too long. While Andre’s mulling over possibly having to choose between his best friend and the girl he's crushing on, Cal just asks, “What if we both went out with her?”

Two cars were left alone in the parking lot. One was parked in front of the already closed fast food restaurant, but it belonged to one of the handful of employees that stayed inside to clean and close up, so they’d probably be leaving soon anyway.
