really fucking sick of cis people having coopted “(gender) dysphoria” to the point where other cis people (and themselves) now think that the concept of dysphoria and the diagnosis of dysphoria and the paradoxically of dysphoria wasn’t enforced by cis doctors in a way to exclude those trans people cis doctors didn’t like from receiving health care, but as a “biological reality” that everyone, especially “afabs” (a description of a perceived natural and unchangeable group of people that goes hand in hand with cis people describing themselves as gender/sex dysphoric) experience. dysphoria is a nebulous concept that no one seems to be able to define properly and is used to keep certain groups of trans people away from medical care (especially those that come from cultures, even within western culture, where transness might not be described in the language of “dysphoria”), and its loose definition has allowed people who are extremely transphobic to co-opt a term to further oppress trans people (”if everyone is dysphoric we need even stricter access to hormones and surgery! think about all the dysphoric cis people out there!!”)
