this is literally what i look like when i’m reading one of those 20k word fics with the really long lowercase titles that are formatted (like this) and i finally reach the part where the characters both realise they’ve been mutually pining for each other the entire time

If you EVER think Anthony Head is anything less than an angel then you’d best remember that I have always been a huge fan of his and we’ve always had a little contact over the years and he heard I’d come out as Trans and was having a hard time and that I was kind of sad that the photos I had from conventions with him were of me with long hair and no binder and they were all signed to “Sarah” and so he invited me to spend the day with him at his farm and he picked me up from the station and we just hung out and had lunch and he insisted on paying and took loads of photos and had them printed on photo paper the same day so he could sign them to Jay, along with other photos of him as Giles and Uther and he literally spent five hours chatting with me and got all of the pronoun stuff right every time and then he dropped me off at the station, gave me a final massive hug, waved me through the ticket barrier and insisted I message him when I got home so he knew I got back safe. (More HERE)

Bisexuals. Everybody wants us, but no one "wants" us. Hey, lesbians! What did we ever do to you, besides lead you on and break your heart?

What's your blog title from ?
“Wayward Ted” is Trent Crimm’s profile of Ted Lasso the man. Coincidentally I don’t have a blog title right now because I removed it the other day while troubleshooting this character limit error I get when trying to turn off the top posts feature. It didn’t solve the problem but I was too annoyed to put it back! 😤😤😤 anyway, it was a Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life reference and I’d been sort of thinking of changing it anyway, but nothing speaks to me at the moment.
2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?
Um well I think it was the Paw Patrol movie which I have seen a few times and is fine. It makes me happy that Marsai Martin and Yara Shahidi are both in it, a little Black-ish reunion.
3. what are you looking forward to right now?
Having some pool and/or beach time this summer!
4. if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?
Maybe I’d like to get a fancy cup of coffee and wander around a cute town, but I’m having a pretty nice day as it is.
5. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)
Coffee: Black drip coffee every morning. For espresso, I like a soy mocha or a soy latte if there’s something sweet to go with it, and I’m kind of addicted to the snickerdoodle latte at my nearby coffee cart atm.
Alcohol: Red wine. IPAs, sours, stouts. Tequila, gin, or rum cocktails.
Soda: root beer or regular Coke
6. What's your hair routine like? Anything special?
I brush it! If I could do nothing, I would. If I’m possessed to style it, I have a blow dryer and some product and a round brush. It’s very long and straight and doesn’t really hold much styling, so I don’t bother, but I do make an effort to keep it from tangling and to prevent my bangs from being all askew.
7. what's your favourite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven't done that you want to experience?
Also a train enjoyer! My longest train rides have been like 4 or 5 hours I think, so it’d be cool to do a really long train journey.
8. favourite month of the year and why?
Probably October. I like spookiness and the occult, and October makes me feel close to those things. I also love the weather and the seasonal foods and activities. Runner up would be December for pretty much the same reasons.
9. favourite time of day and why?
Dawn and dusk. I like the liminal feeling, the sounds of birds chattering, the fog, the moon. I like being up early and starting my day while it’s quiet. I like how the light and the air change as the sun goes down.
10. do you play or follow any sports? & elaborate on that?
I played a lot of sports as a kid because we were very much a sports family, but I was never good enough to get really invested in them. Now I follow sports more intently than child-me would have ever imagined! It’s the default background noise in my home, so there’s a little bit of everything and a lot of MLB, WNBA, NFL, and college football. Some NWSL and premier league too (thanks Ted Lasso), and I also like keeping tabs on the newer USAmerican women’s leagues in hockey, softball, and volleyball. If none of that’s on, you name it—bowling, tennis, pogo-stick championships or whatever’s on ESPN8.
11. what kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?
I’ve been doing a little deep dive on Valerie June’s albums, so I guess bluegrass/American roots. Right now I have her song “If And” on repeat.
12. dishes or laundry?
I do the dishes because I’m kind of particular about them lol. It used to really gross me out, but out of necessity I guess, I’ve grown to find it meditative and mildly enjoyable. That said, I’m vegan so if something very animal-based is prepared in my home (which doesn’t happen super often), I’m delegating that for sure.
13. what's something you learned recently?
If you (USAmerican) still have your mail-in ballot on Election Day, you should take it to a drop box. (I had it in earlier but good to know!)
14. if you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?
Ummm I guess cultural hierarchy since that’s what I studied and researched in college, but it would all be kind of dated 😅
15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?
Don’t borrow trouble.
16. what's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?
Hmm. Maybe lean in. Not work-wise, but, like, interpersonally. Something my mom says to me a lot and a reminder I still need.
17. do you believe in luck and superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any lucky rules?
Not really but I do enjoy superstitious things like black cats and Fridays that fall on the 13th. I do knock on wood and I don’t like to jinx things. Do I believe in it? Enough not to risk it I guess!
18. Are you musical? Play any instruments or sing? Would you ever perform for an audience?
I sing to myself pretty constantly, especially if I’m alone, and I play a little guitar. I have performed in front of an audience and it is scary but fun!
19. Write, type, or speak?
I guess type is what I do the most, but they all have their moments.
20. what do you wish someone would ask you?
“Can I give you 100,000 American dollars, no strings attached?”
Tagging @dee-thequeenbee @niles-cranes @professortennant @kate04us and you!
Stop making this about you. It's not about you! I'm sorry, but I am not the reason that you don't have any friends. It's because you're fucking insane. Okay? Your little party? It almost killed everyone. And now you've ruined book club.

To our dismay, the artist and author Marjane Satrapi has passed away.
As she wrote, ordinary Americans and Iranians have more in common with each other than we do with either of our governments, which have far too much in common with each other.
We honor her memory and oppose the war.
