This is the first [and only] full-length by this French DIY wrecking crew. Dropped in 2006, it shamelessly steals vibes from [early] Converge, Catharsis, and the rest of that chaotic family tree. What you get is pure mayhem: frantic, dissonant hardcore punk wrapped in gloriously old-school lo-fi grit. Submerge don’t waste your time, they crush through 8 tracks in just 14 minutes, because who needs fillers when you can just throw a brick straight at someone’s ears?

I haven't really listened anything by Grave Digger since maybe the Excalibur album back in 1999. When a good friend gifted me this, it came as no surprise that not much has changed since. Grave Digger worship oldschool true heavy metal and they do it damn well. Because nothing says “eternal” like a 40-year career of yelling about knights, skulls, and possibly cursed armor. This album is what happens when medieval warlords discover double bass pedals and really good German beer. Put on your chainmail, the riffs are coming.

Not to be confused with their debut LP which is also self-titled, this is a collection of Hoax's singles, pressed by the awesome German label Adagio830. A savage compilation that packages the band’s first three furious 7″ releases into a relentless 14‑track LP, topped off with some tracks from their split with Sewn Leather and their self-released tape. Brutal, raw hardcore guaranteed to fuel every pit you dare to start.

I admit I knew nothing about this band and I only bought the album cause I loved the cover art [yeah, this can happen]. It turned out to be an album so raw and hard-grooving, it whispers “Oh Yeah” from under your bed. Lo-fi noise rock similar [kinda] to The Jesus Lizard and the likes. Pretty enjoyable.

This is a crust/hardcore punk band from Lima, Peru. Miseria Hecha Vida is their first full-length from back in 2007, filled with raw, d-beat driven aggression, channeling the chaos of Lima's underground scene. With tracks like "Odio" and "Salir Del Guetto" the album fuses political urgency with unfiltered sonic assault, making it a standout in Latin American hardcore. My copy contains a sheet with Greek translations of the lyrics. Noice!

Minutes from Düsseldorf, Germany released their first [and only as far as I know] LP back in 2013. While they do not offer anything new or groundbreaking, I still enjoy their oldschool, pissed-off, in-your-face hxc. Second side of the vinyl has a white screen-print of a doggie. Kewl.

The debut LP by this German band [featuring ex-Perth Express and ex-Trainwreck members] is a furious blur of hardcore, crust, and pure noise chaos. Fast, raw, and unapologetically grimy, it doesn’t wait around to explain itself. It just kicks in the door, screams in your face, and leaves scorch marks on the floor. Perfect for fans of sonic whiplash. Packaging has a d.i.y./handmade feeling and second side of the vinyl is etched. Extra points for that.

The second album by this Parisian band is a brooding, post-hardcore journey through crashing waves of atmosphere and intensity. Equal parts melodic and crushing, it feels like drifting through fog just before the storm hits. A powerful, haunting listen that sticks with you long after the final note. I dig the packaging and clear vinyl!
