04/20/2026 - Interview with Ambergris
☕ Coffee and Metal 🤘 With Ambergris Ambergris is an Instrumental stoner/doom duo(Joe Bernard 🎸 and Rob Cinami 🥁)out of Rhode Island. They create a sound that obliterates eardrums with audio witchcraft, Blending their many influences into a symphony of sonic sludge... A funeral for your ears from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean!!
They dropped their new EP TODAY - Ambergris "Untitled"!! Enjoy the new single 'Bottom Feeder'!!
Ambergris Interview With Joe Bernard & Rob Cinami
Angel : Who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your style?
Joe (Guitar) : Black Sabbath, Sleep / High on Fire, Pelican, Isis, Neurosis, Converge, stuff like that. I hope I'm not ripping anyone off too much.
Rob (Drums) : I guess my drumming style would be described as John Bonham vs Dave Lambardo in a bar fight.
Angel : What’s something you listen to that might surprise people, given the music you make?
Rob : Portishead. Their first two albums are amazing. Like a noir James Bond soundtrack with female jazz lounge singer vocals over slow hip-hop beats.
Joe : I genuinely don't think anything I listen to would come as a surprise to anyone. Heavy shit, spacey shit, bluesy shit.
Angel : What’s a non-musical skill, hobby, or obsession in the band that has secretly shaped your music?
Joe : I make pizza as a job cuz that's the only other thing I'm any good at. Most of our songs are about garbage and failure, so there you go.
Rob : Besides smoking weed? Other useless skills like drawing, screen printing and writing. This very loosely qualifies me as the promotions guy.
Angel : If your band had a signature dish (like at a restaurant or food truck), what would it be called and what’s in it?
Joe : "Beef Bag"
Rob : ... It's our insanely famous signature turd sandwich. It's a locally grown, organic 12oz. turd with melted sharp cheddar on top sitting inside a 12inch rye bread torpedo roll.
Angel : Where can people catch Ambergris live in 2026?
Joe : Your mom's...Rob : Nowhere at the moment because we've been busy with the new EP, but we're currently in the process of booking for summer 2026 (RI/MA/CT). Hit us up!
Angel : What are your favorite venue(s) to play shows at?
Rob : Non-traditional venues like Breweries.
Joe : Dive bar parking lots.
Angel : What platforms can fans follow you on?
Rob : All the usual suspects. Bandcamp, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube and of course Spotify... because we gotta get that 0.003 cents pre stream ya know hahaha. (* the intro to Pink Floyd's "Money" plays in the background)
Angel : How would you describe Ambergris as coffee?
Joe : We put dirt in the pot and told you it was coffee, so you're drinking mud right now.
Rob : I think we'd be like sucking on dark-roasted coffee beans grown in an offshore landfill. Bitter and gross.

MAGNIFIED EYE from Denmark, live at Exil in Wernigerode April 2005. They drove a long way for this and two more gigs on that short tour, together with Terraplane, can't believe it's 20 years ago! Check them out at Bandcamp, very underrated!

KYUSS Tribute: Spaceship Landing
⚠️ THIS PROJECT IS 100% NON-PROFIT. ALL PROCEEDS GO STRAIGHT BACK INTO PROMOTING THE RELEASE.⚠️
We’ve already covered the licensing via the Harry Fox Agency (HFA) (a pretty expensive pleasure, but totally worth it!) and promotional costs ourselves - every purchase helps us keep this project alive and spreading. Every track was recorded exclusively for this tribute. A Global Homage to the Godfathers of Desert Rock! The legacy of KYUSS – the pioneers of desert rock and the spiritual fathers of stoner metal – echoes endlessly across generations and continents. Now, over two decades after their final ride into the sonic sunset, a legion of underground bands unites to pay respect in a massive, fuzz-drenched tribute.
