Pray there ain't no more surprises

because i was feeling silly! this started out as in an incredbily simple 'lol what kind of ice cream would each member of the crew be' experiment and got VERY specific and out of hand. i've spent an ungodly amount of time thinking about this and how they work with everyone's characterization.

mal: brown butter bourbon pecan base with smoked hazelnuts, a drizzle of blackstrap molasses, very faint dusting of bacon salt, and fresh thyme and a twist of orange peel garnish. optional: paired with an old fashioned.

inara: rose base w/ cardamom and cinnamon sprinkled, infused with bergamot milk-tea (with a whisper of sandalwood in the mix) and topped lightly with violet leaf. optional: paired with a white riesling wine.

kaylee: strawberry compote and vanilla swirl, topped with freshly sliced strawberries and a smattering of a toasted almond and pistachio blend. Drizzled lightly with fresh honey and a lavender-strawberry infused whipped cream. optional: paired with a lavender-almoned milk latte.

simon: amaretto cherry based, infused with black cherry brandy, sparing dash of espresso crumble, a whisper of finely ground black pepper dusting. paired with almond biscotti.

river: plum base, infused with lavender-earl-grey tea, dusted lightly with black sesame seeds and sage, garnished with yuzu zest, light drizzle of chili&ginger infused honey, topped with cherry blossom petals. optional: paired with a plum wine with notes of mergamot.

jayne: smoky rum raisin base, subtly infused with aged dark rum, sprinkled with candied bacon and a smattering of peppercorn, drizzled with dark chocolate chili. Paired with a shot of fireball.

zoe: molasses and dark chocolate swirl base, infused with espresso and smoked honey, dusted with cinnamon and sage and garnished with a finely crushed rosemary and basil blend, topped with smoked pecans. optional: paired with chicory coffee.

wash: mint base infused with coconut milk and mint mochi. topped with fresh pineapple and ginger sprigs. Drizzled with pecan honey. garnished with mint leaves, toasted coconut shreds, and a sprinkle of lime zest. optional: paired with coconut water and a splash of lime.
