Thinking about Dragon Booster recently. I love it how Artha openely admits to being tired and exhausted!
It’s so refreshing because Artha is the main character and knows how much weight is on his shoulders! Yet he recognizes this and tries to advocate for himself and his genuine need for rest!
It’s so wonderful how Artha knows when he needs a break and to rest his body! Artha is overwhelmed!
and it’s sad that hardly any other character allows him space to just let go and relax. Even unknowingly Lance. When he wants Artha to play with him, and all his big brother wants to do is sleep. But I don’t blame Lance. His personality is eager and energetic. Plus he doesn’t push when Artha is still set on going to sleep.
“I’m tired, Parm. Dragon Booster’s tired.”
this is a great line!
Because his voice is just so done with everything, especially his duties!
“No training. No races. Not tonight.”
He lists out everything he doesn’t want to do. Good for Artha that he stands up for himself and his boundaries!
I am glad that Artha has Lance, to let off some steam with and have fun (whether it’s light happy racing, playing video games, or just hugs and tickles).
And even Parmon sometimes too, when the teen isn’t being stressed or uptight or mildly controlling or lightly judging.
I think Artha is a good character for motivation, talent, hard work, believing in oneself, and all that stuff! But what I think shouldn’t get overlooked is his need of rest and relaxation and life balance!
