My FAVORITE THING is researchers who wholeheartedly embrace the Ms. Frizzle aesthetic and wear their field of study on their literal sleeve. Everyone in the invasive crayfish consortium has tiny lobster-print shorts or socks. All the middle-aged dad scientists here at the lab have shirts with fish and/or fishing tackle patterns on them. My moss specimen and ammonite earrings keep getting noticed by women who are wearing silver fishbone-shaped or native plant-themed earrings themselves. Every single person on the outreach team has at least one shirt with an anchor pattern on it from Old Navy, and almost all the younger researchers have tattoos featuring their research interests – one fisheries biologist has a half-sleeve of native species she literally uses as an outreach tool. We are self-aware and having a blast with it, honestly.

Public shaming time because Riot Support doesn't work

THIS person. Has crossed into such levels of pathetic toxicity that they actually deserve public shaming.

Picked Yuumi into a very difficult lane of long ranged enemy botlane of MF and Vel'koz. Okay. Then this player started acting up and insulting me after I got hit by one or two Vel'koz's Qs (as that Vel'koz was admittedly, a good player. Not as good as to get me killed more than just 3 times in this extremely steamroller-y game though!)

Yuumi does not only not relent in their insults towards me, they also start idling behind the turret, effectively making me play a 1v2 botlane. Then they leave and aimlessly roam around the map, and then, they start trying to cozy up to other players to convince them to report me.

After seeing that other players want to surrender, Yuumi purposefully presses "No", and starts insisting that it was me who pressed No (when in fact the vote would close several times so quickly that I didn't even get to press anything).

So not only did they insult me for no actual based reason - I played well under extremely awful conditions - they lied about my actions and tried to use this to get other players to report me.

I feel like the best way to convince myself that a story idea is good actually is to ignore questions of is it good/bad and just.. explain the idea and what's the end goal of it. Because once I get myself into the weeds of the idea, I get really into it and excited about it. Convince myself that its an idea worth pursuing.

Meanwhile, if I try to be self-aware and directly frame it as whether its good or bad, I get into comparisons to other stories and just defaulting to "it will never be as good as X" or "I'm just not good enough"
