These are illustrations for my group’s project for @lanceloveshipbang aka the Hey there Sharpshooter bang. Thank you for letting me be part of this experience! <3

Title: I Can’t Let You Slide Through My Hands Pairing: Lance x Keith Rating: Teens and up audiences Warnings: Graphic depictions of violence

A wounded Lance finds himself separated from his team and kidnapped by a very angry Zethrid. How will Lance survive the most savage general of Lotor’s team, when he is already hurt and needs urgent medical care? Can his team find him before it’s too late?

I am very happy that I could work on this project. I was a little unsure at first, but once I started it, I honestly loved being the artist for this story. Thanks to @san-bika for writing this engaging story and to @enemytosleep that worked both as a beta reader and gave me advice on how to make the art better.

Now a few words: 

yes, Lance is paler than usual, because he is feeling very unwell. He is hurt pretty badly and in pain. I went for the realistic route here, making him go pale because he’s feeling sick.

This happens in modern time

Lance is a young inspiring writer He is writing his first manuscript and has enough ideas for a series of books

He moved into his own apartment to be independent, he works at a fast food to pay his rent His renter is a very nice man, Mr Shirogane (called Shiro) that is always very nice to Lance

Lance’s direct neighbor is a young man named Keith he barely talk with But he thinks Keith is very cute

More nights that he can count them, Lance dreams about events between his main characters, Leandro and Akira. Most nights, he can’t go back to sleep until he types down what he dreamed about (and later add it into his manuscript or save it for later books)

He doesn’t understand why, but Leandro’s reactions come naturally to him while Akira’s are complicated to anticipate

Lance pours his heart and soul into this manuscript. It’s dear to his heart, and he worries it won’t find the interest of anyone except him

One day, Keith and Lance are stuck in the elevator and wait for help to unstuck them

During that time, he thinks about what he will write tonight and starts to type it on his phone, while saying it in a whisper

Keith turns around with a “what did you just say?” in surprise and Lance explains he is writing a book and one of his characters will be saying this

After that, Keith suddenly becomes more present. He knocks at Lance’s door to ask for sugar and such, he suggests binge watching some shows together and helps carry his groceries whenever they meet in the elevator

Lance realizes, as Keith is watching a show with a very low volume to not disturb Lance while he’s writing, that he missed the presence of someone else since he left home where they were at least 5 or 6 everyday

One night, he gets Keith back to his door after they had a few beers, and they end up kissing against said door. Lance feels like a spark ignited in his soul, like something was missing all his life and suddenly clicked back into place

Keith clings to him, sobbing against his shoulder

“Leo, please… don’t ever leave me again. I can’t stand it anymore!”

And Lance hugs him, fat tears rolling down his cheeks, and the idea of ever leaving Keith’s side is hurting him as much as if someone ripped his heart out of his chest

“I’m so sorry, Aki” he says without thinking

Keith brings them back to Lance’s home and they fall asleep in each other’s arms

Lance ends up dreaming about his characters, except he is Leandro, and Keith is Akira

Suddenly, he remembers...

They were lovers in another life. Akira, prince of a land long gone and Leandro, peasant turned knight for his country. Never to be together properly but only in secret, outside of prying eyes, or their heads would fall

Leo died serving his king, Akira cradling him in his arms as he stopped breathing. The king lost his mind and died shortly after

Lance wakes up with a start, feeling Keith’s head on his chest Keith looks up at him, with tears in his eyes. Lance hugs him close, kissing his cheeks

“I’m sorry it took me so long to remember”

“It’s OK. You’re here, it’s all that matters”

Keith then explains he has known ever since he met Lance. The haunting image of a knight had followed him all his life in his dreams but he taught he was just insane. Until they talked in the elevator and he heard something only Leandro could say to Akira

He hoped they could be close, he would even have accepted to be just friends, if it meant being close to his lost love

“I’m not lost anymore” says Lance before kissing him

Keith reads Lance’s book and helps him complete parts that only Akira could, giving even more heart into the story

The day it’s done and he sends the manuscript, Keith is right next to him, pulling the envelope into the mailbox along Lance

“What if they don’t like it?”

“Then we’ll continue to send it until someone understands how wonderful this story is” with a kiss on the cheek “You deserve it”

Lance gets to do his series of books. He is not interested by money but more to share his story with the world

Although, he decided to change Akira and Leandro’s last moments, faking their deaths on the battlefield to flee and live together in peace Idea approved by Keith because “if Akira could have, I would have done everything to do this and stay close to you more years”

And they lived happily ever after!!

This is simply all the writings I've done for Klance Monthly with the prompts of March.

Alternate ending:

* Allura didn’t sacrifice herself, she just sacrificed her altean powers to restore all realities

she loses all powers and her markings split in three and lose color

she is technically still able to pilot Blue, but her control over her was never the same after that

the statue on New Altea is of Voltron (instead of Allura)

* Lance still went back to Earth to help his family with the farm

except he just received a proposition from the Garrison to teach to the next generation of pilots

pushed by his family and Allura, he accepted

* Allura and Lance broke up a few months after the end of the war. They couldn’t see each other a lot since they were on different planets and realized that they were not as bothered about it as people really in love should

* Allura recently announced she was with Romelle

since Allura was on Altea and Romelle on the Atlas with Hunk’s crew, they couldn’t see each other much. It was hard for them. Until Romelle thanked Hunk for the opportunity and left for Altea

people may think Lance is angry or jealous Allura is with someone else, but he’s actually happy and content. They had a nice relationship and he cherishes it for what it was: a first love not meant to last

* The team reunites exactly a year after the end of the war for an evening together (like canon)

* Romelle and Allura are next to each other at the table, Romelle next to Lance, Allura next to Coran

* Keith mentions at some point that Shiro needs to invite his boyfriend next time they do this

Shiro gives him the stink eye, while the others are interested. Shiro is blushing like mad. Hunk teases about how Curtis and Shiro are so cute together

cue more Shiro blushing

* Lance mentions he will become an instructor at the Garrison and everyone is happy and cheering for him

Keith is certain Lance will be an awesome teacher, but he jokes flirting with students is illegal. Lance punches his shoulder in retaliation. Of course he wouldn’t flirt with 12 or 13 years old!

Years pass…

* Romelle and Allura married and became the first queens of New Altea

when the others heard they were having a baby, they were dumbfounded to hear that they both were the moms ensuing a very uncomfortable explanation of altean private parts (cough)aliendick(cough)

every soul says Romelle was the most beautiful pregnant woman in the castle (and she was!!)

Allura had a thing for putting her face against the round stomach and hum a lullaby from her childhood. It was always so funny and cute that Romelle never complained

they had a daughter, the princess of New Altea

* Keith and Lance tiptoed around each other for a year before having their first date and on the first kiss, they felt they were meant for each other

Keith proposed on the 3rd year anniversary of their victory against the galra, in front of their friends. Lance was pissed because he was about to ask him too but Keith beat him to it

he still said yes, cue kisses, applause of their friends and more kisses and some tears of joy

they married 6 months later

when they had their first daughter, Allura became her godmother and Shiro her godfather. Allura didn’t get what a godmother was but cared so much about the child and trained her altean style so she could protect herself

(Lance is the honorary godfather of Allura and Romelle’s daughter, since alteans are not christians)

(they had 5 kids in total)

* Hunk married Shay (and Pidge wouldn’t stop laughing about it because “I KNEW IT WAS YOUR GIRLFRIEND!!!”, “Shut up, Pidge!!”)

the balmeran equivalent of marriage implied they would drink a soup made with a small balmera crystal they chose together (crushed into a small powder of course). Hunk got some kidney stones because of it a few weeks later. Shay was so embarrassed and sorry but Hunk was never angry about it. He said he would endure it again for her anyday

(he never had to, thankfully)

they had a son after a 10 month long pregnancy, something typical for balmerans. The boy is Hunk’s biggest pride and he is rising him to be just as kind as he was

* after the war, Kolivan confessed to Krolia he had always loved her and asked if she would allow him to court her. She knew life was too short and he almost died a few months ago, so she accepted

when Krolia informed Keith she was not single anymore, he went to Kolivan and tried to beat the shit out of him because, how dare Kolivan touch his mom?!

he ran away after he was told he acted like a kid (he did) and crashed at Lance’s quarters because he needed to vent about it. Lance listened to him rumble about the ‘horror’ of his mom seeing someone else and that the someone was KOLIVAN!

Lance let him rumble until he was out of breath and said that Keith ‘was acting like a jealous kid scared of losing his mom’s love’ and almost got punched for it. He let Keith stay the night, them continuing to talk in the dark. Lance saying how it was normal Keith was hurting but his mom had all rights to get with someone that respected her and made her happy

Keith went to apologise later but still gave the stink eye to Kolivan for a while

and Keith really tried to kill Kolivan when he heard his mom was pregnant, because he didn’t need to KNOW his mom was sexually active

Keith was 20 when his little brother, Yorak, was born. He was a little awkward at first but he loved his little brother from the bottom of his heart

Yorak was about 3 or 4 when Keith and Lance had their first child. Lance laughed it was becoming a habit in his family to make kids uncles or aunts very young

* Acxa and Veronica were quicker than Lance and Keith, and although they didn’t marry right away, they had a son together

the boy is a few years older than his cousin, Lance’s daughter

he is an introvert like Acxa, on the shy side, but very smart

he is visibly part galra and was raised to be proud of his origins

Note: if I dug to the end of s6, which I didn’t here, I would have Allura save Lotor instead of just accepting he’s done for, extract the quintessence that turned him crazy and he would wake up and be the gentle soul he was with Allura because it’s the true him, not a manipulator and liar

Day 28: AU of choice

For this last day, I decided to go for a videogame AU.

Lance and Keith are protagonists in an otome game, with a spin to the formula: you can either date them or make them date. Answer correctly and you could get these boys together while you chase for another lover (Lotor, Allura, Shiro, Matt, etc...)

I’m content with this month, I completed it more efficiently and in time.

I tried a lineless style. I love doing hair like that, I go wild (litterally, look at all these strands everywhere XD)

Neighbor kids happily spending their time together. Krolia is watching while doing the laundry.

When I was a teenager, Charmed was one of these series I watched almost religiously. 15-20 years later, I barely remember it except for moments that impressed or shocked me (anyone remember Phoebe’s unborn baby turning a piece of fruit into raw meat? Because I never forgot >_<) . So, we have Adam, Allura and Lance (real name Alejandro to stick with the tradition their names start with the same letter) three witches fighting evil with magical powers. Lance has foreboding and later levitation powers. Allura can freeze time/people and later make them explode (I was scared but mostly amuzed when Piper got that power) Adam can project objects with a swift of his hand and later gets gift of ubiquity. I see Lotor as Cole, half demon bad at first but deeply falling in love for one of the witches (Allura ofc) and becoming ‘good’. Keith would also be a half demon, but he fought from the start to be a good person (imagine the BoM to be demons fighting against their demonic urges to protect instead of destroy) and Shiro is, of course, their guardian angel aka whitelighter (weird name, it was ‘being of light’ in french)
